You mean freedumb, and American values. The far left DOES go too far, but that's mostly because the other side refuses to acknowledge ANYTHING. As I've already said today, the far right and far left cause most of our problems.

It’s much more fun than those who immediately resort to name calling and slander. (You know who they are.) I do TRY to make points using valid sources, reason, and logic. But it stands to reason that you cannot use reason and logic to unwind someone who takes an illogical and unreasonable position from the get-go. Someone who is misinformed and open to better information, you have a chance... I think this forum becomes a better place when you have more of this and less polarized echo-chambers. And yes...the name-calling just means they checked their inventory of material upstairs and came up empty. 2

You replace it ASAP/when it's fresh on everyone's minds (especially when you realize you got lucky) because you never know when the next pandemic will hit. I can't fathom the justification for leaving it for another administration, much less in 5 years, to address. The Republican controlled Congress appropriated less funds than the Obama administration requested for this. Trump requested less funds than Congress appropriated.

Now crickets as the variants start to invade. Look at the charts today (Sunday). Yesterdays report numbers were a tad bit better week-over-week, but today now they show a slight uptick week-over-week by the day. So as of this morning, we are at 4 of the last 5 days where the number of cases reported on a given day this week is slightly higher than reported on the same day the previous week. Alarming? Maybe not? A turning point in the trend? hopefully not, hopefully just statistical noise...but certainly something to keep watching if this continues for the next few days. Dig a little deaper into the numbers....for the last 4 or 5 weeks, the 7 day moving average on a state by state basis was steady or moving down in just about every single state. That has changed now also as of this morning. The 7 day moving average of cases is now rising in...Maine, New Jersey, Texas, Delaware, Georgia, Florida, Nebraska, TN, Arkansas, N. Mexico, Nebraska, S. Dakota, N. Dakota, Idaho, and Washington....with another handful of states where the moving average is close to turning up. Edited February 28, 2021 by mjd1001
ALF Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Manufacturing CEO: Before Biden, it felt like we were fighting the pandemic alone New York (CNN Business)A former Republican operative who now leads one of the nation's most powerful business groups is praising President Joe Biden's efforts to defeat the coronavirus pandemic. "It is fantastic to have a partner in the White House," Jay Timmons, president and CEO of the National Association of Manufacturers, told CNN Business. "We felt like we were fighting this fight, frankly, all alone for the last year." NAM, which represents more than 130,000 manufacturers, announced Friday it is planning to partner with the Biden administration to help fight the pandemic "It seemed like so often over the course of the last year, the pandemic was weaponized and it became a political tool," he said, adding that he was dismayed dismay over disinformation that confused the public. "500,000 Americans have already died because we as a society didn't take the pandemic seriously enough. https://www.cnn.com/2021/02/27/business/manufacturing-ceo-covid-biden-trump/index.html

Big Blitz Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 Haha at what point do the dupes realize "if we pull back restrictions too soon" means "we are never pulling back restrictions." What a piece of garbage this clown is. And the fake journalist with the pathetic follow up "how helpful is this to the 'recovery?' No moron. The question should be "why were you so wrong and Noem so right? And what does she do for arm day?" 2

The next hysteria is 50 million kids aren't vaccinated so it's not safe yet. Mitigation continues as is. High Schools zero chance of reopening in September. And they won't be getting vaccinated in 2021. I'm not telling you this because I agree with it. I'm telling you this is what these lunatics are going to be doing for the duration of this calendar year, minimum. When POS Fauci and others say "some semblance of normalcy" this is exactly what they mean and will be using to keep this going. That and we don't know how long the vaccines last. I'm right 98% of the time: September 2023. Maybe. That's almost FOUR YEARS TO "FLATTEN THE CURVE." Fauci: Children "very likely" to get COVID vaccine at start of 2022 Children under age 12 will "very likely" be able to get vaccinated for coronavirus at the "earliest the end of the year, and very likely the first quarter of 2022," NIAID Director Anthony Fauci told "Meet the Press" Sunday. Why it matters: Children generally aren't at risk of serious coronavirus infections, but vaccinating them will be key to protecting the adults around them and, eventually, reaching herd immunity, writes Axios' Caitlin Owens. The sooner children have a vaccine, the sooner schools and child care can go back to normal, which will greatly ease the burden on millions of parents. https://www.axios.com/covid-vaccine-fauci-children-2022-likely-1313a4ea-d6ff-4c62-b11a-c7950cc33dc7.html So now it's our job to make sure the kids aren't a threat to the what should be fully vaccinated adults around them. I'd say I'm stunned....nope I've been telling people this is the next phase for months. Can people please wake the f up?? Your middle age to high schoolers (K-5 also they distribute misery equally) are going to be mitigating and distancing and going to fake school for over THREE YEARS come September of 2023 when based on their metrics that they've always been lying about are EVER EVEN CLOSE TO BEING MET. You think the schools let alone the damage done to the kids will ever recover from this? No dances. No normal extracurricular. No socializing. No normal anything. Teachers with 6 foot poles between kids, 80% of whom will choose fake school over that dystopian nightmare all day. Not because that's how it should be.......it's what they are planning to have happen and aren't telling you. Kids and parents are feeling powerless and hopeless and are being strung along by this farce. The damage is incalculable. Edited March 1, 2021 by Big Blitz

Answer again: absolutely nothing. (Well he did mandate masks in the Post Office.)

I’m just not at all impressed with his presentation style or ever changing shallow dive into what has to be the most important topic of his long career. He constantly skims the surface and rarely cites any scientific studies (even after a year) but instead seems to shoot from the hip with hunches equivalent to those anyone who’s not a ‘preeminent’ scientist would make sitting on a stool in a sports bar (assuming one is open somewhere). Just my two cents...and NOT partisan.

He does not shoot from the hip; he looks at data and is appropriately cautious when doing so.
