Gotcha.  I guess it is over for in school education.  So many articles in the past 2 days about this.  Why the sudden surge of interest?

It's all about November. Full stop.

So annoying.  You should see the scrambling the school administrators are doing right now to accommodate both the in-school kids and the stay at home kids.  In the end, all this work they are doing will go out the window, as the tea leaves are showing that every kid will die if they go back to school.

But why wait until mid August to "discover" that kids are super-duper spreaders?  And who would have figured that a place like Florida would have surge of kids getting sick along with the rest of the population.  That is some mouth breather reporting right there.  No duh, Batman.

My kid's freshman year at college got put online today. This after missing her missing the second half of senior year. Tough day here.

It's more driven by fear than data (her college city was on its way down in every stat, reporting at less than 5% positive for a long time). The school noted that one of their problems was how long the test turnarounds are (7-15 days) and that they had planned on massive testing as part of their plan...and that with turnarounds like that, they couldn't practically keep to their plan.

I don't see this as being about beating Trump, though more of those living in fear are on the side of Biden.

Fear is what they've been using for a long time to push agendas, this is no different. This isn't a normal election. A second Trump term puts too many big fish in serious peril. They're pulling out all the stops, including trying to shut down the country by inciting fear of a virus from which over 99% of people recover.

That can't be true.  Most schools in Florida opened yesterday.  Some in GA opened last Monday.

But maybe the virus is in TURBO mode now.

Let me translate what the idiot neglects to say.  Now that cases are declining in the US, the panic porn brigade needs a new topic to latch onto.

Note that none of the links discuss the infection prevalence over time, which is critical to discern whether there's an added risk, or this is just the expected trend with more kids being tested in advance of the school year.

Fear is always a strong lever to motivate humans. Let’s not kid ourselves: Trump operates it with expertise too.

* FEAR: The 2016 election wasn't legitimate, it was stolen by RUSSIANS!

* FEAR: The incoming president is an agent of Putin, our enemy!

* FEAR: The president of the United States is a secret White Supremacist and Nazi!

* FEAR: The president of the United States is going to get us into a war with North Korea!

* FEAR: The president is going to get us into a war with Iran!

* FEAR: If the president isn't stopped, Nazis and White Supremacists will rule the world!

* FEAR: A virus from which 99% of people survive, requires us to shut everything down indefinitely

Those were the headlines and stories from establishment/major media outlets for three straight years. There's never, ever, been anything like this deployed against the American people by the 4th estate. If you can't see we're in a different time, then you're not paying close enough attention to what matters.

No one, least of all me, is saying using fear as a tool is new. What I am saying is this is a different level. The question you should ask when you realize this is why.

Because most people are literate and able to think for themselves when presented with evidence. You should try becoming better at both, you might surprise yourself ;)
