The data shown from SETAC was thus not the data being discussed in the Tweet. Also as we know, some hospitals hit capacity in Houston. But it's turning out "fine," just like it will elsewhere. "Fine" being a relative state. You can't be serious. The left is addicted to the panic around this in the same way the right thinks it's no big deal. Addicted? "Fine" being a relative state. The graph in the tweet is the SETAC data on general hospital bed use. So if there's a bone to pick with the graphs is that the mayor was discussing ICUs, while SETAC data is total beds. But there's a high correlation between the two. You just focused on the relatively flat 7-day line, which is correct BTW. 1 minute ago, shoshin said: You can't be serious. The left is addicted to the panic around this in the same way the right thinks it's no big deal. Which is more to the point. The press runs from one scary story to another, without any follow up to what happened to the original scary story, especially when things turned out better than what they thought. It reminds me of a scene in Shrek where the crowds run from one Starbucks to another across the street. If the press did its job, there wouldn't be so much panic in the country. Case in point is NJ, which just rolled back some safety guidelines because on one day last week, the infections grew by 100 more than the rolling 3-day average. Never mind that the average is back to the low figures and that hospitalizations aren't an issue, it's time to lock every one down again.

Scary, i agree 2) Trump should have jumped all over the "death rate as a percentage of population" thing...if we could get people to focus on that most of this hysteria of the virus would disappear. If as everyone believes we are handling the "crisis" worse than anyone out there, and after 6 months we the below calculation as the 'death rate"...wtf are we doing? S0 4/10ths of 1 percent.....and we have shut down the world...what in the hell are we doing? Do you think that is worth 10K kids dying a month of starvation? Millions of people losing their businesses and life savings? Kids losing substantial portions of youth experiences? This is insane Donald Trump: "I think it's under control." Interviewer: "How? A thousand Americans are dying a day." Donald Trump: "They are dying. That's true. And you — it is what it is."

Murphy rolled back one regulation - 25 people gatherings instead of 100 - and never said It's time to lock every one down again.
