I think she was referring to the first term of the DC school public systems.  The 1st term ends around election day.

She was, absolutely.

But it's the look on her face as she tries to pretend she doesn't understand the implication.

No we're probably at 50 million infections.

And its not a disaster.

We met the original goal.

Hospitals not overwhelmed.  Anywhere.  Everyone has been treated.

Saved 2 million plus lives.

Stocked up on ppe.

Learned how to treat it.

We will hit herd immunity by the time Australia comes out of its seventh 6 week lockdown.

And Trump will still be your president.

The unofficial GG model has the entire country on the Wuhan downswing by the end of August, now that the most populous states are past the peak.  Will be interesting to see the spin once new cases drop precipitously in sept.

I hope you're right...

I think we will begin trending down slightly beginning sometime in mid to late August.  Not sure it will be a precipitous drop since other regions are starting to bubble up but the main population zones as you mentioned will have burnt out and will start trending lower.

I do think we will hit new lows in deaths by time late September comes around.

So we have HCQ to prevent and use to treat early.....

Redemsivar is apparently working really well.

And now this:

Critically ill COVID-19 patients make quick recovery with treatment RLF-100

TEL AVIV — Critically ill COVID-19 patients recovered rapidly from respiratory failure after three days of treatment with RLF-100, a therapy granted fast-track designation in the United States, two drug companies said Sunday.

Geneva-based Relief Therapeutics Holdings AG RFLB.S has a patent for RLF-100, or aviptadil, a synthetic form of a natural peptide that protects the lung. US-Israeli NeuroRx Inc. partnered with Relief to develop the drug in the United States.

The first report of rapid recovery under emergency use was posted by doctors from Houston Methodist Hospital, the companies said in a joint statement.

It said a 54-year-old man who developed COVID-19 while being treated for rejection of a double lung transplant came off a ventilator within four days of treatment with RLF-100.

https://nypost.com/2020/08/02/relief-neurorx-rlf-100-helps-critical-covid-19-patients/amp/

So if that man who had the double lung transplant and developed Covid....if he died, they definitely would be calling that "due to Covid."

There are very few populous states that haven't peaked yet, thus on a relative basis the numbers will be small in September.

Why is the media pushing FEAR so much?

It's not really about a bug. It's about much, much more than that.

It's an election year, nothing more

But it's much bigger than one election cycle. If Trump gets another term, there's no way they can stall or cover up their crimes -- and they know it.

A Trump victory means that the establishment in DC (on both sides of the aisle) are effectively toast. Perhaps only for a decade, but long enough for the rest of us to break free from their grift.

No elected official in the United States has done an amazing job with COVID19.  Each and every one one of them has been incompetent, as if it was a competition.

They have managed to screw it up with flair from a President who made  a decision just to stop dealing with it to the governors who killed whole economies overreacting to it, listening to advice from health "experts" who are everything but trained in pandemic response and infectious disease. In PA, our governor takes advice from a pediatrician.

The biggest political story of 2020 isn't Republican or Democrat.  it's legitimately how incompetent we all are, from the voters all the way up.  We hire all these idiots and we spend all day defending why we do.
