The defender didn’t really make any contact until the ball hit him. That’s legal

Nope it’s quite clear the contact was before the ball arrived and before defender turned his head, he got there too soon...

It really wasn't though. The defender didn't turn his head until the ball almost hit him. You can't just run into a player with your head the opposite way of the ball

looked like the receiver turned back into him.

Great season for the Titans. Frankly Vrabel needs consideration for COY - found a great replacement for LaFleur, made the tough call to switch QBs and made a great playoff run - but Andy Reid gets a much deserved shot at his first title.

They finally blitz. What a concept.

I'm guessing there was some sort of illegal formation by the Titans before the snap, in addition to the hold later. Obviously Chiefs are going to choose the worse penalty.

They would have still called both penalties.

that doesn’t really bother me so much. The hold would’ve been accepted over an illegal formation anyways. But if only one flag was thrown, and holding was the call, that’s a problem.

It looks like that's what happened. Only 1 flag was thrown as far as I can tell. Hope this gets brought up and talked about to see what their reasoning is for this.

They still call that. It's the Eli Manning and Philip Rivers special.
