Once Beane was in place and they saw the team they had, they knew what they needed in a QB. The timing was just not right for Mahomes. Yet teams with new coaches and a need for a QB do it frequently. ? 1
Scott7975 Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 Jeeze that is the longest I have seen a QB stand back there lol.

Win on the road in Thanksgiving? Win to clinch playoffs on the road in primetime? He doesn't only choke in big games. He's got work to do but that's not fair.
davefan66 Posted January 19, 2020 Posted January 19, 2020 (edited) Catch. Gotta challenge that. Watkins has to do a better job of putting himself in position on the sidelines % Edited January 19, 2020 by davefan66

The Allen Mahomes comparisons will be going for as long as they both are in the league here. Bills essentially passed on Mahomes to take Allen the next year. The conversation will continue to be brought up. But the Bills didn't take a QB that year right? So they didn't pass on Mahomes. Look the Bills had a lame duck GM and a brand new head coach and almost a brand new owner. It wasn't a year that the Bills were going to pull the trigger on a 1st round QB. And let's not forget that Reid was one of the few NFL guys who saw greatness in Mahomes. 2

The obsession and repetitive nature of it is what's most annoying. Trading up to draft Trubisky obviously. Poor Bears fans have to live with that decision for the next two decades as Watson and Mahomes make the playoffs year after year.
