eball Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 This is really interesting, and I think a good move for the G-Men. You get someone who provides instant intel on a division opponent, and is still (I think) a pretty good coach. Kind of an "Eff you" from Garrett to Jerruh, as well, which I like. 4

Do you think Garrett would be a bad coordinator? I think it's a good move for them. 3 1
machine gun kelly Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Garrett can only help so much with the Cowboys as McCarthy is going to change the whole scheme so he can only let them know tendencies of players that remain on the roster, but you can get that from tape. I never thought much of Garrett, not that he’s a bad guy, just not an innovative coach.
papazoid Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 was never impressed with garrett as a head coach. he needs this OC job to go well in order to get another shot as HC i think it goes well...especially if saquan can stay healthy
RochesterRob Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 Garrett's coaching abilities never impressed me. I honestly did not think he would be back in the NFL this soon. I thought he got the HC job in Dallas because he was willing to let Jerrah interfere readily. 1

BigBillsFan Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 They have a nice nucleus at QB and RB. They need help on OL and a WR and they are good to go offensively. Jones was unexpectedly better than I thought.
Mr. WEO Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 He's been headed there in one form or other for 2 weeks. Not surprising. 1

Not a fan of Jerry Jones, but I’m not sure why Garrett should feel slighted by him. Jerry kept him on way too long, by any objective measure. 3

Well that’s a doofus move. Can’t really name any other guy that did so **** with so much talent on offense recently. Good luck giants. Jesus they’re starting to make the Jets look competent in comparison.

Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted January 18, 2020 Posted January 18, 2020 What frosts me is that since Garrett stays in the same division as his former team, the New England Patriots receive a compensatory draft pick...? 2
