I would be disappointed in TD if he stood pat on Draft Day. I don't think he will.

Some "combo plate" trade and/or a giving-away of picks is going to get TD more than 2 players on Day 1.

SCENARIO 1: TD waits for Denny Green to pick a non RB at Pick 8 and pulls the TH for Shelton trade, receiving a move-up to #44. "If the draft goes on and we don't take a running back, [the Bills] will probably still be trying to move up. They are probably trying to move up with other people also."

DRAFTABLE PLAYERS at 44:

----Marcus Johnson, G/T, Mississippi

----Matt Jones, WR/TE, Arkansas

----Reggie Brown, WR, Georgia

----Mike Patterson, DT, USC

----Chris Spencer, C, Mississippi

----Mike Nugent, K, Ohio State

----Eric Green, CB, Virginia Tech

WOW PICK: Nugent.

MOST LIKELY: Spencer. You have lots of options with Tucker and Teague if you have a C like Spencer.

SCENARIO 2: TD waits for the top-echelon RB's to be drafted. Brown and Benson are gone in the first 4 picks. Carnell Williams is picked up by the Cards, negating the need for TH. TD doesn't sweat. He waits. Philadelphia calls, shopping its #31 pick for a running back, since Buckhalter-Westbrook is iffy at best.

DRAFTABLE PLAYERS AT 31:

----David Baas, G/C, Michigan

----Marlin Jackson, CB, Michigan

----Adam Terry, OT, Syracuse

----Anttaj Hawthorne, DT, Wisconsin

----Alex Smith, TE, Stanford

----Matt Jones, WR/TE, Arkansas

WOW PICK: Jones. "We couldn't believe we got him."

MOST LIKELY: Baas. Having a Center-Guard gives you the most flexibility with Teague, Tucker, Gandy and others.

SCENARIO 3: TD again waits past the initial flurry of RB's, and the NYGiants call. They lost Dayne and Farmer to FA, and have missed out on the top names in the draft. They want TH for their RD#2, #43 pick and their RD#4, #110 pick.

DRAFTABLE PLAYERS AT #43 (see above)

DRAFTABLE PLAYERS AT 110:

----Michael Roos, OT, Eastern Washington

----Jeremy Parquet, OT, Southern Miss

----Michael Boley, OLB, Southern Miss

----Sean Considine, FS, Iowa

----Adam Bergen, TE, Lehigh

----Boomer Grigsby, ILB, Illinois State

----Dan Buenning, G, Wisconsin

----Ryan Fitzpatrick, QB, Harvard

----Nick Kaczur, OT, Toledo

WOW PICK: Boley. If Boley is there at 110, I'd be amazed. So will Posey.

MOST LIKELY: Roos. He could play on our line from Day 1 of regular season.

a little more realistic

With six picks, no #1, and the realization that the league isn't exactly clamoring for TH, and Clements will want max bucks from any team out there that might be as dumb as Minny last year with AW, it seems that the Bills are in a weak position, playing a 5 card poker game with only 4 in hand...

After losing Staley to the Steelers and Buckhalter to injury, the Eagles only had Brian Westbrook (depth at RB was why they lost the SB--more important than Owens' injury, IMO). They even brought Levens back after cutting him.

Bucky's back from injury. Right as rain and will play in '05. As is FB Jon Ritchie - who is not a ball carrier as is the current style for FB's, but does the blocking duties. Nothing against Levens - he got 400+ yards for them last year - but he's cut this year and is gone for '05.

I had this team in the 3 round mock last month and have them in the upcoming 7 rounder, so I've been educating myself about All Things Eagles.

Sad, I know, but there you have it.

Not sure about that. I think the Giants only have four picks in the entire draft this year. With more pressing needs than RB, I think they hold onto them....but hey, who knows. :D

T O played well in Super Bowl but I agree lack of running game hurt - perhaps why TO was open.

Other teams looking for a running back include the Browns (will get a RB by their #67 pick), Titans (#68), Seahawks (#98), Texans (#45), or Bucs (#71).

Most probable: The Bucs. They have a load of picks, and could certainly take two of them and parlay it into a trade with the Bills. 2nd most likely: The Browns. Look at their RB stable and you'll see why.

Eagles | Interested in Bills' Henry? - from www.KFFL.com

Thu, 14 Apr 2005 15:56:50 -0700

Jay Glazer, of FOXSports.com, reports the Philadelphia Eagles have shown interest in Buffalo Bills RB Travis Henry. The Bills have phoned the Eagles on more than one occasion, but Henry's interest in a new contract could kill a potential trade from coming about. While the Bills are looking for a second-round draft choice, they would probably take a third-round or even a fourth-rounder that could move up to a third-rounder based off of incentives.
