dbfla10 Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 You're not going to find another Henry. The guy is a complete freak. Look what the Niners have done, blocking scheme and dedication to mastering the run got them to the super bowl. Jimmy G is a better qb than Allen, and he threw the ball 8xs yesterday. Allens playoff game 46xs... Dedicate and master the run. Have 2-3 RBs with different skill sets (speed, power, versatile)…. Coaching is what got the Niners to the SB not 1 player or RB.. Henry got the titans to the AFC championship game.
HOUSE Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 This is a passing league, RBs are for blocking only

SoCal Deek Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 If the Bills had played defense like GB did yesterday this board would be a hot mess! They allowed some never heard of running back from Purdue to run all over them while SF threw a total of EIGHT passes in perfectly good weather! Atrocious defense. 1
The Jokeman Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 I think the Bills could use a speedy change of pace RB myself. Someone in the Tarik Cohen mold. I like Salvon Ahmed in the draft in Round 4 or 5.

Mostert has actually had a solid year averaging 5.6 per carry, scoring 10 total TD's, and getting 772 yards where Shanahan is always swapping out RB's. He had 19 carries for 146 and a TD against Baltimore earlier this year. He's not really a no name like Timmy Smith who blew up the Broncos for 204 and 2 TD's in the SB back in 1988.

Let’s not nit pick here. He’s no big name recruit. The point of my post was that GB must’ve known at some point that SF had stopped throwing the ball. At that point...STOP THE RUN!!!

San Francisco had the #2 Rushing offense in the league this year while having the #13 passing offense. They also ran the ball 43 times against Minnesota to only 19 passing attempts. What did GB think they were going to do against them? They knew they were going to run, but they didn't have a defense that is built to stop them.

Will SF be able to slow down the pass, and can KC stop the run?
buffalobloodfloridahome Posted January 20, 2020 Posted January 20, 2020 Singletary ran very powerful for his size. His low center of gravity and quickness made him nightmare to tackle. We do need a complimentary back, Maybe a speed guy like what 49ers have done or a big power horse to wear down the defense. Don't underestimate the power of motor he's a handful to tackle.
