Fortunately, at least IMO, the Buffalo Bills will be a legitimate Super Bowl contender next season. Edited January 12, 2020 by Binghamton Beast 1

They’ll only improve the offense and defense from this year. We have no idea how hard the schedule will be almost right now.

His completion percentage jumped considerably from year one to year two. The only part of his game that went backwards was his deep ball accusers you but that started coming back later this year. The will to win. The guts displayed on a weekly basis. The “It” factor. Not everything is black and white. I wasn’t thrilled when the Bills drafted the kid. He has grown on me. I have had no problems in my 46 years of being a fan calling a Bills player a disappointment. The best is yet to come with this kid. There is a saying that comes to mind when someone tells me to express why I am confident in Allen moving forward...that analogy is, I may not be able to describe something of a pornographic nature, but I sure know what it looks like when I see it. Allen, to me, is the second coming of John Elway. I think that sounds a lot like picking and choosing data in order to confirm a bias. If you think Josh Allen is the second coming of John Elway, then you should probably stop talking football with other people. 1 1

Dr.Sack Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 The Bills have 90+ million and lots of draft picks. Therefore they need to hit on a few key FA, nail some draft picks & the most important thing: continue to see their players improve. Knox should be better, Allen, Edmunds, Oliver. I’m very bullish on 2020. Plus McD & Beane seem to have a good formula of continual improvement.

You should go find a safe place until you get yourself together. Anyone who says that Allen is “the second coming of Elway” (that’s Super Bowl MVP, 2 time SB champ, 9 time Pro Bowler and first ballot HOF QB John Elway) should be called out for it. If you can’t back that up (which you can’t) and can’t take the heat for posting it, then please stop posting here. I called you out for an indefensibly ridiculous post - and I did it without resorting to name calling. Please grow up or leave. I will leave it there. 2

Josh is already better than Tribusky and will only get better with his work ethic. We’ve already seen the best of MT and he has nowhere To go, but down. Schedule next season swaps NFC East for NFC west. It will likely be much harder. 10-6 next year will be a good result.
TigerJ Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 I don't see it. I mean, almost any team can pull a stinker of a season any given year. All you need are some bad breaks and some key injuries. I think the Bills are being built with a pretty solid foundation, however, and I expect Allen to continue developing.
gonzo1105 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 I actually think the Bills remind me more of the Vikings than they do the Bears. 2 WRs who are good but not great players, offensive line that is inconsistent, a QB who can win a game for you by looking super impressive or implode on you at any time. Dynamic RB with a top level defense. 1
78thealltimegreat Posted January 13, 2020 Posted January 13, 2020 Well getting Josh an actual receiver or 2 over 5’10 might help things a bit...after all he did turn John Brown whose more of a number 2 into a 1000 yard receiver after all

But it's 5th and 6th year Josh that the league has to worry about. What in the world does this even mean? You're already building in excuses for NEXT season, Josh's 3rd in the NFL? I can assure you the league is not worried about how Josh Allen will perform in 2022. I like Josh. There is some validity to Allen/Trubisky comps. They've both got similar strengths and similar weaknesses; the distinction is that for every strength, Allen's is better. Allen has a bigger arm. Allen is more mobile. Allen is also a baller and he's too competitive to just flounder like MITCH. Whether Josh will take the step Trubisky failed to take is the real question. Is Allen a top 20ish guy or is he a franchise QB. Refining the details of the game; seeing the field better and getting the ball out in time with better placement. That's where he needs to improve and I'm sure he'll be working hard to do just that BUT 2022 is Allen's year??? Come on man.

What you mean to say us that you don't have the patience to wait that long. That's how long it's going to take Josh to actually become a top 10 QB. I'm not making excuses. I'm basing my opinion off of history. There's a laundry list of qb's who needed that amount of time to reach their peak.

Were comparing one guy who always take the blame on himself to another who asked for the tv's to be turned off in house so he would not face the media's criticism . Bears created a easy offense for Mitch to run with endless quick short completions near the LOS Putting the burden on his skill guys to make something happen. Bills asked Josh to carry the team on his back behind a complicated system and with below avg at best skillset of weapons.
