Faced the least attempts in the NFL but was 21st in YPA allowed. Ying and yang. They're built to stop the pass and got exposed on the run. The old pendulum swing. When everyone goes light, go heavy. Hard to do it all. Then again not everyone has Derek Henry. 1
CBennett Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Titans had a better running game, QB and WR's, and OC...that said we beat the Titans so I see that as a positive...the Bills are RIGHT THERE if they can improve slightly in WR,RB,OL QB takes more steps,etc,etc... 1
34-78-83 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 You had to think going into that game that our tape would be used as the main ingredient to the strategy to take out the Ravens. Ten also prefers zone schemes so it was a perfect fit. This is a really good reflection of our defensive staff and personnel to boot. 4

Ray Stonada Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Both Titans touchdown catches were great, great plays... plays that make the difference between winning and losing playoff games. It's scary/inspiring how little it all comes down to. 1

Just not in the way you’re implying. I think he’s right. There would be a group of posters obsessed solely w that 1

Can’t win in the playoffs throwing for less than 100 YPG and having a completion percentage of 50. ? Ryan Tannehill would disagree, but he has a monster at RB that is shredding defenses.

Also having a LB spying on him once he came off his initial reads. Despite his 100-plus rushing yards, he never got free for a killer scramble when defensive discipline broke down. Not every team will be able to execute that, but many will now try. It will be interesting to see if Jackson can improve his sideline throwing accuracy and become more of a "full field" passing threat going forward... 1

Penfield45 Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 difference was in our game we forced Allen to throw for 39 times...into that wind. Daboll has constantly put Allen in horrible positions all season and fans wonder why our offense is so bad. our failure to run the ball effectively this season cost us a division title and possibly playing in the AFC championship game. We threw a top 3 defense down the drain 3
Sweats Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 That's exactly what you want to hear.........they played the Ravens the same way that we played them, only they did it right and actually won the game. Aye Carumba

This is exactly right, DE's are the size of LB's now, and LB's are the size that used to be considered "tweeners." Defenses are setup to optimize speed to defend against passing attacks. There's no wonder why Baltimore had the most rushing yards ever in NFL history, and why San Fran's power running game is so successful. Here's to the Bills getting another solid RB and reducing Josh's # of passes per game next year. Edited January 12, 2020 by Motorin'

Clyde Smith Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Now we need to draft a Najee Harris to pair up with Singletary and do what the Titans did. Run baby run! 1

Formerly Allan in MD Posted January 12, 2020 Posted January 12, 2020 Jackson produced 500 yards of offense but got shut down? The turnovers were deadly - and I'm not Joshin'.
