Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson is making changes to his coaching staff — two changes he said he wouldn’t make.

Through the Eagles’ official Twitter account, Pederson announced that the team would be parting ways with offensive coordinator Mike Groh and wide receivers coach Carson Walch. This announcement comes barely a day after Pederson praised broth Groh and Walch and said that they’d be back for the 2020 season.

Don't know what to think about this.  You don't hear much bad about owner Jeff Lurie in terms of hands on in the organization but wonder if he does throw his weight around a little behind the scenes.

His problem is his QB not his OC.

Too late though they already paid Wentz the huge $. Easier to blame the coaching and pray he improves with the next one.

Aside from maybe the OLine, Wentz was by far the best part of that offense this year. He's nowhere remotely close to being the problem.

Should they have kept Foles?    ?

There was no way that they could keep Foles, they would have had to pay him and terminate the Wentz project. Wentz was too high a draft pick to blow off for Foles but Wentz is who he is, a qb who gets injured quite a bit and can look brilliant but terrible as well.  Wentz looked great against us but in other games has looked overwhelmed or confused by what he was seeing out there. Foles got injured so its hard to tell what he will do with the Jags but I don't think either of these qbs can repeat what they did when they had Reich as the OC.

Foles didn’t exactly light it up in Jacksonville.

The only thing he lit up was his bank account!

This move makes sense.  You really only want one Carson in an organization.

Mmmm....water bottle....mmmmmm

I'd love to see one of these head coaches step down and essentially "fire themselves" for doing a lousy job vs. throwing their people under a bus. Will never happen.

Wentz keeps getting hurt.  That's the problem.

Funny trend this year, these offensive genius coaches in Pederson and Nagy firing their offensive coaches. Scapegoat time after the scheme is figured out and not as successful?
