DuckyBoys Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Is any cornerback playing in a primarily zone scheme worth paying top money? I would not be shocked to see a CB drafted early by Buffalo How do they handle it this time after letting Gilmore walk? I know he's under contract for 2020 just curious what you guys think is the long term plan 1
BillMafia716ix Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Tre White is definitely getting paid. Hes the perfect CB for McD system. 5

Mojo44 Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Yes, he is worth top money regardless of the scheme. You can’t just plug-in anybody in a zone defense and assume they will play at a high-level. Pretty much a non-issue in this case.
Aussie Joe Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 They might draft a CB "early" but they are still going to pay Tre... 1
Boatdrinks Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Not a Josh Gordon situation here, or even a Gilmore situation for that matter. White will be retained. The previous regime clearly had a philosophy about not paying CBs a second contract, but those days are gone now.
transplantbillsfan Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Is this worthy of being a thread? 10

Gambit Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 Is the best CB in the league worth top money? If you truly need a answer to this question, I'm sorry but there's just no hope for you. 1

Augie Posted January 7, 2020 Posted January 7, 2020 (edited) I think this is why you save your nickels and have cap space when you need it. Keep our core together, draft well, and keep the best. . Edited January 7, 2020 by Augie 2 1
