whatdrought Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 (edited) This feels like scapegoating to me... which, now that I think of it, is no stranger for Wade... Edited January 6, 2020 by whatdrought 7
Aussie Joe Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 I’m continually reminded a year is a long time in this game.. He was getting a lot of love from the media 12 months ago when the Rams were making their run... 2

fan_in_tx Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Rams moved up 3 spots in Defensive Rank 2018 - 2019 (19 - 16) but Offensive run fell to 28th in 2019 . Yeah Defense is the problem here 7

Yeah Defense is the problem here Yea I do feel a bit for Wade - defense has not been the major problem in LA though they have been inconsistent on that side of the ball. But the guy is 72 they might just have wanted some fresh perspective.

Rc2catch Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 He’s a good coach. Great career. Im not surprised they moved on though. Given their personnel I expect they’re looking at more of traditional 4-3 for next year as the reason to move on as opposed to him not being effective.
Captain Caveman Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 The guy sitting behind me on Saturday brought up Bum Phillips a couple times. Good old Wade, I wish him the best.
Solomon Grundy Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Wade will be Dallas defensive coordinator 3 1
Brianmoorman4jesus Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 Man I know we have a good thing going here but I’d love him back. 1

I dunno, but at 72, he should probably think about it. Coaching in the NFL is a grind. But if he wants to keep coaching, he definitely deserves a job.

Jauronimo Posted January 6, 2020 Posted January 6, 2020 This is a pattern for Wade. He comes into town, immediately turns some bottom feeding unit into a top ranked defense in the league and 2 or 3 years later the defense is mediocre and hes on to another opportunity.
