4 pages and no one has posted a single pic?   It's worth a thousand words, people!

Might be hard to find one that fits within the TOS.   That cover shot on twitter is pretty nice!

I don’t think the pics on her insta are mostly suitable here.

If y’all must do the T&A stuff I gotta get the padlock

I scrolled through this whole thread and there's not one contextually relevant picture of Rachel Bush.

FAIL

We'll be the judge of that, thank you very much!

Jordan Poyer signed with the Buffalo Bills because they offered him the best contract at the time. He has played much better than expected. I personally love him on our team. But the Bills don’t owe him anything. He got paid. He should make more in his next contract and I hope it’s in Buffalo. He is a great fit for our system. Brandon Beane will decide how much we can give him in two years. Both the Bills and the Poyer’s would be smart to find common ground for a healthy extension.

Here are my questions: What is he getting now? What might he ask for? What is he worth on the open market?

I love our DB’s for the most part. His relationship and interchangeability with Hyde certainly has some value. I’d like to keep as much of the gang together as possible. I don’t want to be stupid with money, but that’s what cap space is for. Right?

He’s tied for the 30th paid safety in the NFL in terms of AAV. He’d probably get $9M per on the open market; right now he’s getting $3.25M.

That corroborates somewhat the version I heard. Thanks Bandit.

No sweat. He’s not unhappy here, but he definitely knows that he’s massively underpaid and wants his once-in-a-lifetime pay day.

And he has every right to want that.

I think massively underpaid is overstating it. He’s merely underpaid imo. He’s got great ball skills, above average coverage, average run support/tackling.

Darn right. Not just because of his performance, or because he’s entitled to maximize his value, but also because the dude sacrifices his body to stop the run in a way that few other DBs his size are willing to.

He makes about 33% of his open market value and he’s on his 2nd contract. IMO that’s massively underpaid

Well if you think he's a $9M/yr safety then I suppose you'd be correct

Oh, I think it’s reasonable for him to want to be paid.

I just don’t think his wife’s twitter is the best path to it

Agreed.  But it makes me wonder whether there might be some doubt if the Bills will give him the type of deal he wants.

Keep in mind, the team has Jaquan Johnson at safety and he has looked very good.  After 2020 when Poyer is a FA, Johnson will be in his third year and likely pushing for a starting role.

Are you going to break the bank to keep a very good 30 year old safety when there is a player on rookie contract on the bench?

I doubt the Bills are thinking in these terms

I think it is less the $9m and more the length. I suspect Poyer is looking for long term security this is going to be his one big deal. I could imagine the Bills being fine with paying him $9m a year in 2020 and 2021.... but they don't still want to be paying him that when he is 31 and 32. Is there a way to find a compromise on that? Possibly. I think the Amos deal is basically 2 years at $10m if the Packers want to get out before year 3.

I appreciate what Poyer brings to the table but if we're being honest McD has had great defenses with no name safeties before, it's not an essential position in this scheme. Poyer functions well within this defense but the standalone pieces in the secondary are White and Hyde, the rest are interchangeable and can be replaced imo.

That said I would absolutely try to extend him. I want to keep everyone on the defense, but realistically not everyone is going to stay.

It is the relationship with Hyde more than purely Poyer's skillset I think. The disguising of coverages is critical to the Bills defense. They are relatively simple up front and complex on the back end. Yes Hyde could build that relationship with another player but the chemistry he and Poyer have is rare and special. They have an almost innate understanding. I don't think that is easily replicated even if I agree to an extent his skillset is a bit more plug and play.

Poyer had a brutal game yesterday tackling and blitzing. Watson bulled him, carrying him into the end zone after making contact at the 10. However, one game does not make a career. He and Hyde have absolutely been lights out in pass coverage. Wouldn’t be against an extension if the $ is right.

this is a good assessment.   but what the heck is she doing posting this stuff after a loss and a terrible game by him.
