Actually, Watson has a 66% completion percentage, 8 TDs to 2 INTs, and a 100.6 passer rating when blitzed. Watson did not play that well over the last 5 - 6 weeks of the season. They don't need to be blitz heavy. Stop the run, apply good pressure with 4, take away the big pass plays, and they will be fine.

The problem is that we don't normally generate a lot of pressure with our front four

you play to your strength and versus their weakness:

example --if you don't think your opponent can generate much offense you play conservatively because unless you jump start them they are going to have a difficult time. You don't come in with risky offense or throwing  all around. They only chance they have is you turning it over

yesterday Schoop said you can't sit on it before half without explaining score...field position.....or anything......25 seconds you have to try to do something.

this is flat out stupid decision making that gets teams beat....are their times I wish we would push the envelope ? sure but right now Allen isnt that experienced good choices quarterback so you have to be team smart. If they pop a run they will push it, they have this year but you also HAVE to be aware of time left and are they capable of getting back before the half etc. McD does a good job

The line between aggressive and stupid is fairly thin......

Do what got you there. Our defense is plenty aggressive enough. Play our defense.

Offensively I want to see them get Josh in rhythm early. Pass to set up the run.

They can generate enough, along with occasional blitzes

Fans think blitzing is the cure of all ills. The highest blitz % teams are only about 30%.

Ultimately, conservative can be great for winning most of your games but to win 4 straight on the road against top teams- gotta beat the odds. Means some risk is absolutely required and a few things have to break your way.

toss up some 50/50 balls and see if you get them.

When the Bills get a lead, can't go to prevent defense.  On offense, have to keep doing what got you the lead, not reverting to run, run, run, punt.

So yeah, being overly conservative will cost you the game.

Nows not the time to fix what isnt broken when your playing the 6th seed texans, maybe the can go all out vs ravens or kc

Playing not to lose it such a tired, overused cliche.  We made it to the playoffs with a somewhat conservative attack. We can't do things that we don't have the skill set to achieve.

Exactly. Play to your strengths. I would actually say McD is slightly less conservative than his rep. The team is not built to score a ton of points offensively, so play "smart" football(another tired cliche).

They have maximized the talent on this roster, so just keep doing exactly what you did to get here in the first place and let the chips fall where they may.

Wow.  Complete collapse

need to play for TDs and not FGs. Watson can turn it on in a second and burn you, you can't teams hang around - especially with Watson at QB
