Virgil Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 That video was great and honestly pretty accurate. I agree with the snow play for us because it was possibly the most significant play for us this past decade. Winning that game got us into the playoffs. The long pass to Freddie against the Pats was probably the most exciting, but in a losing season. The Allen to Foster pass was the best pure pass over the TO bomb.

I suspect Brown, Beasley, and maybe McKenzie (maybe) are the only holdovers. You can say Andre Roberts is technically a WR but I think he is only a specialist next year barring injuries.

Ideally, your specialist is also a guy you can trust to run your routes in case of injury I've been looking at the (bottom of the) roster. It seems Heath Farwell has a pretty good thumb on a lot of it for an under-performing unit

I would always want one of those dudes on my roster. He'd also be my holder on place kicks to keep the threat of a fake alive on all attempts.
Gray Beard Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 Brian Moorman was still on the team at the beginning of the decade. I wonder if he would be the guy who made the play of the decade. ? j/k j/k 1
Kirby Jackson Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 (edited) I kind of looked at it as “most important plays”: It really is crazy to think but the Bills play of the decade is definitely Dalton to Boyd (and it really isn’t close). If we are talking a play that involves the Bills it may be the Stevie Johnson drop. That play started the entire “Bills Mafia” movement. That has changed the perception of the organization to the entire world. As weird as it sounds that day changed the future. Our fan base became the envy of the league over the next few years and a rallying cry for players everywhere. The Bills players are connected to the fans unlike in any other place. This really was the day that the rest of the world was exposed to our passion. It set the table for the culture that we have. In terms of positive plays Fred Jackson trucking Conte in Chicago jumps out, Sammy vs. Minnesota, EJ vs. Carolina, Charles Clay in Atlanta, Josh sneak in Dallas, Josh hurdle in Minnesota and the Kyle Williams TD. These all popped right into my head and I’m sure there are tons more but don’t want to keep listing. Edited January 2, 2020 by Kirby Jackson 1 2
SinceThe70s Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 It's Dalton/Boyd in a landslide for me. Two honorable mentions with some recency bias: 1

This question should probably be a poll, but there's no way I can do that justice, so I'll just ask it here...for this video they picked Shady's TD run to win the Snow Bowl game in OT. While there's probably a FitzMagic moment I'm missing, I'll put forth 2 candidates: -- Josh Allen's 75 yard bomb to Foster against the Jags last year. This came after he returned from the injury, he was under heavy pressure and stood in the pocket. In my mind this is one of the key plays where the team really started to believe in him -- Allen QB sneak fumble/recovery on 4th down against Dallas on Thanksgiving. Big national spotlight, big moment in the game. I think this is where the rest of the league started to notice him Submit your entries and even better if you include a video clip of the play.... I am going with a Moment not a play. The best moment in a Decade of Bills football was clinching the playoffs in week 15. After beating the Steelers. 1 1

Nothing else compares. i guess none of the plays Bills made count for you. I'd take hurdle LB for 200 as best play of the decade. QBs are not supposed to do this kind of thing. 54 minutes ago, Gray Beard said: Brian Moorman was still on the team at the beginning of the decade. thronethinker Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 I like Allen’s leap over Minnesota last season. That to me stood out as a moment where you could say the bills are different now. 1
thebandit27 Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 The first play I thought of was the one that they picked. Shady's GW TD in the snow set the stage for the playoff drought to be broken.
Bulldog Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 My favorite play of the decade came on September 25, 2011 -- Bills & Patriots tied at 31-31 in the waning minutes - Bills had the ball at the Patriots 39 yard line - Ryan Fitzpatrick hit Fred Jackson with a pass over the middle & Fred burst down the field to the goal line. At first it was called a touchdown - then was reversed to a spot at the one yard line. We wound up kicking the game winning field goal as time expired. That catch & run by Jackson still brings a smile to my face - what a finish that was! All the better that it was a play that beat the Patriots* .... 2 1
TwistofFate Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 I cant believe they chose that play for the Bills....weak. 1

WhoTom Posted January 1, 2020 Posted January 1, 2020 These stand out to me: Fitz to TO for the longest TD pass in Bills' history Dray-Flo's pick-six on TB Josh's hurdle Josh's TD dive (same game as the hurdle) Kyle's TD run against the fish. (That game was just as important as the CIN-BAL game for breaking the drought) Honorable mentions to Shady's TD run in the Snow Bowl and Scott Chandler's "shoveling" TD celebration when the Jets game was moved to Detroit.
