Maybe I am the only one, but I see the AFC East becoming a very competitive division. The Patriots have declined, the  BILLS are ascending.

I will not sleep on the JETS and the Dolphins.

I see the Dolphins rebuilding, but could be ascending if they draft well.  As long as Gase is the coach, the Jets will suck.

I forgot one last thing, the Dolphins will have $98 mil next year and given the history, everyone will increase by $10 mil.  That is a lot of $ to extend contracts and strategically get some decent free agents.

They also have three first round picks

The dolphins are building through the draft. They are not going to try and buy their way there.

Good thread idea. I fully agree. The Jets were a lot better in the second half of the season, and Darnold, while still mistake-prone, is supremely talented - good arm and fantastic accuracy when he gets set.

The Dolphins are well-coached and well-positioned to dramatically improve their roster. Who knows with Fitz, but he's played well enough to be considered a credible starter in five of his last six seasons. He was phenomenal in the second half of this season.

I will comfortably sleep on the Jets and Dolphins... Dumpster fire franchises with bad HCs.

Jets will suck next year and I think the Dolphins will be stuck in neutral with Gailey as their new offensive coordinator and a lot of inexperienced (but talented) rookies starting for them.

Dolphins are at least a year away from entering the conversation. Jets will be competitive, hover in the 8-8 to 10-6 range. Bills as well. Jets and Bills will come down to the quarterbacks. Which one takes that big leap forward.

Patriots are interesting because they are not set up for life after Brady. They could be really bad pretty quick. Depends on Brady and Belichick.

What Brian Flores did with that roster is nothing short of a miracle. I am terrified of what he can do with some talent on the team.

They got rid of the talent they should have kept. He won't make it another season sorry they won't be riding Fitz to any more wins.

I like Flores, and I think Miami got a good coach for once, but I am not terrified by any means. I do expect the Bills and Dolphins to be the teams fighting for the division mostly over the next decade though.

The Jets and Patriots will be the dumpster of the NFL in the next few years. Miami is building something. Great young HC, some nice young players and a ***** load of high draft picks in the next couple of years. I think the AFC will be just like the old days Buffalo and Miami at the top. Should be fun again.

Terrified is a strong word—I don’t mean to be hyperbolic. But I like playing against a Gase coached team far more than a Flores team. It’s the difference between automatic wins and tough, season changing match ups.
