My gut tells me there are at least 3 more nights with way more drunks on the road 1) St Paddys day 2) Halloween weekend night 3) Super Bowl Those are the nights where maybe folks don't plan to get as liquored up, don't take the Uber TO the event, so feel the need to drive home FROM the event cause they have their car there 1
LeviF Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Dinner then working overnight for that sweet OT grant money. Don't drink and drive, folks. 1

teef Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 usually we stay home and have dinner with friends, but my in laws offered to take the kids for a night, so we're going out. a nice hotel/spa by us has a package. the one we chose give us a room, dinner, open bar, live music, champagne toast and a brunch the next morning. i'm meh to the whole thing, but everyone that has gone loves it. 1
Gray Beard Posted December 30, 2019 Posted December 30, 2019 Usually my wife and I cook a nice dinner and watch a movie together. Sounds simple, but it seems like these days everything requires an agreement and a commitment because preferences and priorities can vary significantly. This year our kitchen is out of commission with no sink or stove as we await a new countertop installation, scheduled for January 6. Maybe we’ll get takeout.

There's an older couple at my church that sleeps in separate rooms. Happy couple, every time I see em. 1

billsfanmiami(oh) Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Hosting 3 other couples for a nice dinner & a whole bunch of wine. (After we put our 3 year old to bed that is) Doing 6 courses / pairings. Plenty of room at the inn so everyone will just crash here. Might go outside for a fire or hit the hot tub if it gets real crazy

RochesterRob Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 A quiet evening at home. For no explicable reason a car with a drunk driver winds up in my front yard about every ten years. I'm thinking I am due for another episode soon.
Another Fan Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Finding some Netflix series to start. Possibly Glow.
US Egg Posted December 31, 2019 Posted December 31, 2019 Wife & I spending it with our 5 & 6 y.o. grandkids while their parents cavort. We'll let them eat whatever they want and run around with them like crazy. I'll be shot early on and Mema will put the kids to bed and drive me home. That's when News Years indulging begins for us. Grandma does partake. 1 1
