my dad was so excited to see Barkley in action today... he loves the underdog story.   He basically worshipped Flutie in the late 90s.

Backup QB is always the most popular dude in town.

we still suck at defending the screen  Its uncanny how effective they are against this defense

The fact that the offense doesn't really run them probably hurts the defense in practice against them

Sal just reported that Levi is an ankle injury, doubtful to return.  Bills just got away with lining up in the NZ.

NFL officiating is a complete disaster

I would expect the Jets to take this game over some time soon.

Don't you think?

Not really... I could be wrong, but I think our backups aren’t that far below their starters.

Underdog story? He was a golden child, started at USC, and played himself out of the number 1 pick of the NFL draft.

This fumble/incomplete pass play is a great example of how poorly written many rules in the NFL are.

The test for determining fumble vs. IP is so vaguely conceived that differing people can watch the same play in ultra slow motion and reach different conclusions.

The rule should be re-stated for this reason.

Make the standard of review something that is MUCH easier to determine one way or the other.

The "arm coming forward" thing and the rule as it stands now obviously doesn't work.

The only clarification to the rule is the "empty hand".  The ball was still in Barkley's hand and was not jarred completely loose.  He still had control when his arm went forward.

Why can every team do screens except us? Did Gailey spend all of our franchise’s screen capital when he was here?

Chan's screen game was top notch  That middle screen was devastating

The lack of reps for the Bills backups makes this game comical though.

Gene Steratore the officiating "expert" on today's broadcast said he thought it was a fumble.

I agree with him.  And yet it's easy to see why others would suggest the opposite.

See my long winded comment on this above.
