It has nothing to do with the hit to the head. 1 definition of targeting is lowering the crown of the helmet to initiate contact. That's exactly what Wade did.

He broke off the route first and then fell.  If he just continued with the route he would've been there.

Ryan did some real savvy coaching in this game with the quick snaps catching Clemson offguard but settling for the FGs early really cost them.

Crap call on targeting 

 

 

Especially with the obvious targeting against Clyde Edwards in the LSU game that "wasn't" targeting, that was not even close to this.
