Reed83HOF Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 Looks like $26.44 to rollover if we don't sign anyone today 1 1
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 So if they sign someone on Monday its free money in 2020?
Virgil Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 I’d have re-signed Jordan Phillips before the deadline. Eat that contract this year 2

Eat that contract this year I want the Bills to re-sign both Phillips and Lawson but I don't expect either to be resigned today. Assuming both players are happy being here and the numbers are acceptable to both sides I don't foresee a real problem either way. 2

John from Riverside Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 And this is before we cut some high priced players which we probably should do

Tre Whites option needs to be picked up also. Not sure where we are at with Hyde/Poyer but keeping them together for a few more years would be wise. 1

Yes, which is why the Bills are listed as having around $200 million in 2021 cap space. https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/cap/2021/ 1 1
NoHuddleKelly12 Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 (edited) We are continuing to reap the fruits of eating all that dead $$ up front in 2018 instead of trying to spread it out and continue FO mediocrity from previous regimes—we already cashed in some of those dividends this year with great results... Maybe a team would not want to be forced to spend more money in 2020? That’s the only reason I could think of.
78thealltimegreat Posted December 28, 2019 Posted December 28, 2019 (edited) Add to this that we have now become a “cool” destination for free agents so we won’t drastically have to overpay for free agents like in the past and it should set ourselves up nicely for the draft Edited December 28, 2019 by 78thealltimegreat
LB48 Posted December 29, 2019 Posted December 29, 2019 Just a simple question: Why couldn't our other recent GM's do this? 1
