Rick 'r Mortis Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Did everyone see that terribly inaccurate throw from Aaron that should have been a TD? 2
mannc Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Why not go for a TD on that last play?? NFL coaches are the biggest cowards in the world. 1

Top 10 pick, very raw, inconsistent. Not flaming him or saying he won’t be the guy later but I would expect his game to be ripped apart. Similar to how baker and Darnold have been. The ravens vs browns game the other day I think it was Romo who was really picking apart bakers flaws and bad throws and decisions. Rodgers has earned respect all across the media and the league because look at the plays he’s made. Clutch throws with the game on the line, not just the Hail Marys, playoff games he took over. If you want the Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Mahomes, Jackson kind of treatment when people talk you got to prove yourself first and accomplish things similar to what they have. Allen has had chances and hasn’t capitalized yet. He hasn’t taken over a big game and really put his stamp on the league yet. Playoffs are here, he can create his own legend. If he doesn’t and the offense sucks in the playoffs he has a whole offseason to work on his game, and work with his guys. There will be guys on here crying to draft a quarterback round one and stuff but Allen ain’t going nowhere. Of the guys you mentioned only Mahomes & Jackson have been instant successes. Brady was a game manager his 2nd season after being 4th string as a rookie. Rodgers didn't start a game until his 4th season, spending the 1st 3 seasons in mop up time in a handful of games. Brees was so mediocre after 3 seasons that after his 3rd season, where the Chargers were the worst team in the league, they drafted Eli Manning #1 & packaged him for the QB they envisioned as Brees replacement, Rivers. A lot of QBs need time to develop & aren't thought of as future HOFers after their 2nd seasons. Brees & Rodgers were question marks going into their 4th seasons. Anyone getting on Josh Allen's case after 2 seasons needs to back off and not want to throw away a QB with huge potential, who contrary to your opinion has taken over several games in the 4th quarter. Those games may not have been big enough for you but if you give him time the big games will come. 2
CincyBillsFan Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Some 2BD posters noted that Allen played a poor first half until the last 2 minutes when he led the Bills on a game tying TD. A lot of us pointed out that late in the season against good D's QB's often struggle for a half or more. Well tonight we have a nice example of this with 2 of the best QB's in the NFL: Rogers = 18/30 for 156 yards; 0 TD's & 1 INT; QB rating of 60 Cousins = 4/12 for 40 yards; 1 TD & 0 INT; QB rating of 71. And Cousins can thank his D for the TD or his rating would be a 30! The Vikings have only gained TWO 1st downs the entire half. 5 minutes ago, Rick 'r Mortis said: Did everyone see that terribly inaccurate throw from Aaron that should have been a TD? SCBills Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Our Offense is conservative and the struggle to score points and/or stay on the field is real. Those are the reasons why a missed Allen pass is analyzed 10x harsher then almost any other QB in the league. Every game QBs miss throws, but when their offense gets a first down, the QB gets a chance to make a big throw that makes us forget about the miss.

But that Booger announcer said the pass was "a little behind" lol

It wasn’t about the guys I mentioned other than why they get praise and not criticized for missed throws etc etc . Any quarterback drafted top 10 as a raw project who is inaccurate who had long term success. I’m an Allen fan. But I have an outside perspective. There is no success story in anyone who has faced what Allen is up against. Doesn’t mean I want him to fail or none of that. He has not won big games. That doesn’t make me an enemy or an Allen hater or a bills hater just objective Edited December 24, 2019 by Rc2catch
GRHater69 Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 When you're Aaron Rogers, Drew Brees, Brady, Phillip Rivers etc. and you miss a throw the first thing you hear from the announcers is "That's a throw he wishes he could have back." When you're a young QB like Josh, they analyze every aspect of the play and tie it into a technique flaw that he had in college. 1
PetermansRedemption Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 is that new “hot” defensive sack celebration wiping snot? Or is it something I’m missing? I have seen a lot of defensive players do it after a sack and I just don’t get it.
DRA3196 Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 If I was a Vikings fan and Cousins was my QB. I would be H.O.T. Not to mention how bad the Vikings o-line is. How do you give up a sack on 3 man rush. Horrible

Rodgers just missed a TD on a throw similar to Allen's miss to Knox at the end of the game. Then he throws a little bit high and Adams dropped it. On the same play it looked like he could have had someone beyond the sticks. I wonder if packer fans are calling him a bust for missing a few throws and plays or is that just bills fans? Dumb thread I know, it just drives me nuts how people expect Allen to be perfect. Of course you want him to be perfect and he needs to get better to be in the same sentence as someone like Rodgers, but let's also give the kid a break once in a while. Rodgers sucks. Other than that one Super Bowl and a crapton of other games and accolades, what has he won, exactly? Edited December 24, 2019 by Koko78 2 2

How many SBs do you think the mighty Brady would have if McCarthy had been his coach all these years? It’s a team game.

And teddy is just hanging out in New Orleans biding his time and playing good football on a cheap contract when called upon. Now in the offseason they have to lose some really good players because they have no money to spend whatsoever. I think I seen they are already like 2-3 million over the cap for NEXT season. They have to shed some serious salary. Everson Griffin, one of the receivers. They’re in bad shape 1

stuvian Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Vikings playcalling is bizarre and ineffective
Success Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Oops - sorry! I was just getting up from a nap..
Sig1Hunter Posted December 24, 2019 Posted December 24, 2019 Wow. Waste a timeout in the 4th down by 7 on the minute chance you draw them Offside? If that was the Bills, I’d be furious.Take the 5 damn yards.
