Pretty sure once you go for a fg, you don't get another down. Also, anyone who catches a pass has to be an eligible reciever, meaning that player has to report as eligible and the defense would probably know something was up

Like Dawkins was ?

Yeah. 8 second left. Game on the line. Turn to Bojo to make a play in the passing game. What could possibly go wrong?

It can only work with :07-:10 seconds remaining in a half with the Bills inside the 10 yard line.

Imagine the Bills are down 3, at the opponents 10. A FG would tie the game and send it to OT. There's :08 seconds to play so the Bills line up for the chip shot to tie. But when Corey Bojorquez takes the snap, he stands up and throws a TD pass to the eligible player who breaks off his blocking assignment. Touchdown Bills!

The beauty of this play is if the pass is broken up, or dropped, it's only 4th down with time left, so they can try the FG again for real.

So your bright idea is a fake field goal attempt?

You also better hope that the holder gets the pass off and isn't sacked.

This is why Barkley should be holding for kicks.

No. Most kickers complains about the lack of synchrony with the holder, and now that they seem (Bojorquez-Hauchska)to have solved the situation you want another change

I dont think that is true. Once you kick the fg then thats it but if you have a bad exchange ect. you get the 4th down attempt.

It's a third down fake so an incompletion or sack still gives you 4th down for a real field goal.

Hopefully the pass is thrown right at the moment of release by the eligible blocker, say Lee Smith. Someone who won't set of alarm bells being on the field goal team.

The trick is to do this when the opponent is convinced the Bills (a conservative team, right?) is settling for the easy tie. It's not just the play, it's the timing and circumstance.

Put Bo out there as an eligible right tackle?

I'm a strong believer that both the holder and the punter should have a reasonably decent arm, too - doesn't seem too much to ask.
