YoloinOhio Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Last home game of the year but not the last Bills game! So many thought this game was going to decide who got a WC when the schedule came out 4 1
Steptide Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 In some weird way, I'm excited to see the backups in this game 4

YoloinOhio Posted December 23, 2019 Author Posted December 23, 2019 I feel like it means nothing but if we lose then we won’t have a winning record in our division. That would suck but still meaningless. I kind of like that 11-5 vibe more than 10-6 too. 4
SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Bills have yet to decide if starters will play in Week 17 The game has no bearing on the team’s season. Buffalo has already constructed its best record of the century and has secured a playoff berth, a win in the final game of the season would do nothing but send the boisterous New Era Field crowd home happy. Giving key players such as Josh Allen, Tremaine Edmunds, and Tre’Davious White a week of rest and more time to prepare for the Bills’ postseason opponent would likely prove more beneficial than sending them out against the struggling Jets. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2019/12/22/buffalo-bills-starters-week-17-jets/amp/ the lines I've seen are Bills -1 to Bills -1.5
whatdrought Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 I think the starters will start, but that josh’ll Be pulled after a drive or two, and the rest will face a heavy rotation. 1

SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Do the Bills want to end the season with a 2 game losing streak??? the optics will be there
Hebert19 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Think secobd or third week of preseason. That's how we will treat this game.

SlimShady'sSpaceForce Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 The Jets beat the Steelers and played spoiler to them. that just won’t matter for the Bills beyond optics. Will they play to win or preserve a draft spot?
Sammy Watkins' Rib Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 I would play the starters for the first half. Pretty sure that is the recipe that New England has always gone with. Now of course they've also had the bye week in the first round. Maybe play our guys for a quarter? I just don't love sitting our guys for the entire game. We are not an established team yet. Especially on offense. We continue to grow every week on offense. Take at least part of the final regular season game to continue to do that. 5 minutes ago, SlimShady'sGhost said: Will they play to win or preserve a draft spot? This game is important for Darnold's growth. And Gase and the entire offense for that matter. I expect them to put 100% effort in on that side of the ball at least. 3

The defense doesn't control the clock or put the points up. Beside that being favorites with potential back ups in play is something. 1
thebandit27 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 There's absolutely no reason to play the starters. At all. There is, however, a great opportunity to get some live reps for guys like Barkley, Yeldon, Bates, Boettger, Duke, etc that are one play away from being in the thick of playoff action. 12 1

HAHA. ….. what a problem to have as a fan, right? 5
Big Turk Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 (edited) Interested to see if Barkley can shred the Jets D again like he did in his first start last year a few days after joining the team. 4 minutes ago, thebandit27 said: There's absolutely no reason to play the starters. I want the backups to get live reps in case they are needed to play a big role if injuries strike during a playoff game. Would much rather have a guy coming in cold off the bench a week after he played an entire game of reps versus coming in cold when he hasn't played much all season. boco357 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 This game should be treated equal to all those week 4 preseason specials vs the Lions. 2
DRA3196 Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Looking forward to the execution by backups and role players. Seems kind of nice not having to surf the games wondering if we made it. 1
