more like the Bills offense continually had short drives.  And I don't  have an “agenda”.  I want the team to win. By any objective measure the offense was a disaster, just like against Balt.

I seen plenty of your Allen hate crap in the GDT threads man along with several others.

You only peg 100% everything on Allen. How about TOP as our D gave up like 450yds to the Pats and could not get off the field all night?  Or admitting our Oline played like last year (horsesh&^ tonight) and Daboll made some really moronic play calls?  There is plenty of blame to go around. Yes, Allen has to hit on a few of those throws 100%. The pass to Knox at the end of the game should have been made.  How about that 12th and 13th man (refs) for the Pats?

There is blame to go all around. Again, though this team is taking high level competition to the brink. We had the lead going into the 4th and 8 yards away from a tie late.

Take your bye Buffalo and rest up for the playoffs. I hope all coaching game planning start now for the Texans, don't even waste your time prepping for the Jets IMO

Good coaches make adjustments in-game. Allen was once again hot in the 4th quarter. He missed one throw in the endzone and it would have been a tough one. Other than that we were moving the ball when we passed. Daboll doesn't know when to abandon his game plan. I'm not saying I want him fired or anything, I like his scheme, but he needs to open up the offense in the playoffs. You can NEVER call 3 straight run plays with a 4 point lead against a playoff team. Playing to lose.

Great post.

For those of you who think JA is the second coming of Christ, let me remind you that barring three nice throws, JA did nothing.  That's right.  Nothing.  Daboll do not help matters, but it was on him.  Let the PR people tee off on me.  Let me save you some time: "oh, but Allen is still young". oh, but he is still finding his rhythm,  "Billy Buffalo doesn't like him."  Okay guys, let me have it.

Also, it is the line and receivers.

I guess it's all your fault then. I hope you are better in the playoffs.

Understood you desire a Pro Bowler in his second year.  But it took guys like Steve Young years and he's in the Hall.  And Johnny Unitas wound up with the Colts because he was cut.  Lighten up!

Not a Pro Bowler.  Just a someone with a little more consistency.

What are you 12. Trying to pick a fight. He played well to anyone who has a reasonable take on the game.

this is laughable.  you reply to my post, disagree with it, I write a reply then you engage in name-calling and say I’m trying to pick a fight. Posts like this are whats wrong when people try to discuss a game.  And reasonable ppl can disagree on whether JA played well today or not.  I don’t think he did.  He was just okay.

Uh, the defense was on the field all game because they couldn't stop much of anything.  They didn't tackle and they didn't pressure at all.  That's like a gift from above for the Patriots.

You do realize the offense is supposed to score points, right?

Overthrows, bad throws, and bad sacks have nothing to do with the defense.

How many points is the defense supposed to hold playoff teams to week after week?

We are 28th passing in the league, we have a bottom ranked Qb and people have the audacity to blame the defense that carried tjis team all season.   Un-be-lievable.

So for our brutal 4-game stretch:

* 2-2 record

* Outscored opponents 77-73

* Lost to top two seeds in AFC 24-17, 24-17

We're so close. If you believe Allen is progressing, you're very hopeful at this point.

Allen has looked decent over the course of those games, being dominant against Dallas, very good against against Pittsburgh, and doing enough to keep it interesting against the other two.

We are heading in just the right direction.

Daboll was so NOT the problem today. Christ, people. He drew up two easy TDs that Josh missed at the beginning and the end vs the best D in football. That said, Allen played well overall in crunch time.

and ef you, Pats fans.

He was absolutely a problem, too many 1st down runs up the middle and a terrible 1st down call first and goal, he’s too inconsistent.

The runs were called because that's been the weakness of Pats* defense this year.  Unfortunately for us, they sold out in stopping our run game and dared Allen to beat them through the air.   Almost worked.

AND DABOLL MADE ZERO ADJUSTMENTS

That assumes that the cheater wouldn't adjust either.  At the end of the day, it's a player match up, and Allen isn't yet ready to beat Bellihick

White does not cover the slot.  It seems like Hyde got those duties, but he doesn't do it well, IMO.

That is why I was harping all game long for Frazier to change things up.  White can cover Edelman.  No matter where he lined up

his coaching today was substandard.  this is the same game as the last few weeks.   being on the field all game caught up to the D today.

Coaches coach players play...guys in position to tackle on defense, too many missed tackles. On offense, we have a 2nd yr qb who overthrew guys but also made some great throws (Knox before half and brown).  How can we say that we got outcoached when playing the 2nd best afc team, who arguably has the best nfl defense and GOAT at qb...please.  we are on our way up, just not there yet

Right, they were on the field because of 3 and outs.... had nothing to do with the long, sustained drives the Pat's put on them.

We touched the ball what 3 times in the first half, why because the defense allowed a 12 play drive and numerous other long drives

You can be mad at the O but the D had just as much to do with this loss

Stop Making Sense

I don’t really buy into the moral victories here, this is not a great Patriots team.

McD falls to 0-6 vs the Pats and this was the 2nd game this year that Josh couldn’t make the big plays to beat the Pats.

Right now it looks like we’re a small-time team with a small-time QB and coach that can beat bad teams but can’t get the big W’s vs the good ones.

I agree. Brady was on the bench his second year. Kelly was learning in the USFL There are exceptions, almost all surrounded by exceptional talent, but they're not going to include a raw prospect who had received zero quality coaching in college. Allen has done great in a short time with limited weapons to work with. If the Bills win no more games this season still has been a success.
