\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Wifey's got a 3-day conference in February, and they are offering Friday/Saturday at the downtown hotel for $99 per night prior to the conference, so we figured we would the advantage of it. Any ideas for restaurants, tourist sites, etc.?

Seasons1992 Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 (edited) What do you want to do? I'm highly familiar with Denver and fun stuff there. Guard and Grace is an AMAZING restaurant downtown. Do you enjoy retro arcades? Time to get to RM National Park? Edited December 19, 2019 by Seasons1992

WhoTom Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 If you like jazz, there's a small club downtown called Live @ Jack's. We were there last summer and saw the house band (Dotsero) during happy hour. No cover, food/drink discounts, and good music.
HopsGuy Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 I’ve only been once (Bills game in ‘14). My college buddy who graduated early said, “I’m going to Denver and ski/tend bar for a year and figure out what I’m going to do.” That was in ‘92. He’s run a firm as an independent rep for specialty plastics for 20+ years. His license plate is “1 WRD 4 U“. Anyway, he took me up to Loveland Pass (The Continental Divide). It was a long ride but it was very scenic. We stopped at Red Rocks on the way back. That was really cool. About 3/4ths of the people there were working out. Saturday night we went to The Comedy Works (South at the Landmark, not Downtown) and saw Christopher Titus. It was a pretty good show and comics love working there because the crowd is usually good. https://www.comedyworks.com/ The game was a dud.

Edibles would scare me. Have friends who live there (Boulder, actually) part time and the horror stories are true. No idea where you stand with edibles....until it may be too late. We went out for my wife’s work a couple years ago, and the Cherry Creek area was VERY cool. Built a few nights in Vail into the trip. Had an awesome time!
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 20, 2019 Posted December 20, 2019 The original Chipotle is there. LoL... By University of Denver. My son made us stop there when we flew into Denver before the drive out to SteamBoat. I wasn't impressed. Buffalo Bill's gave site is up in foothills... On Look Out Mountain in Golden, CO. We stopped there too.
