Not sure what kind of leadership Frank Gore has brought to the team.

But based on what we've seen with on-field production, I hope Brandon Beane/Sean McDermott move in a completely different direction next year.

Running Back is a young man's position.  Since this regime took over, we've signed Mike Tolbert, Chris Ivory and Frank Gore.

All three guys have been counted on for significant carries, and expected to handle short-yardage for the offense.  And all three guys wore-out down the stretch.

Devon Singletary is proof you don't need to throw big $$ at the position, or invest a high draft pick.

However, I do believe RB is a position better suited for fresh legs.

Instead of wasting a roster spot on some aging veteran, I hope that Beane uses some of our picks on improving the run game.

i just think if we kept ivory our running game would be more powerful, and with our passing game not really there yet it would make us a stronger team in the playoffs

nope. I do attribute Singletary’s growth to Gore as well

Nope.Gore is an underrated future HOFer and still productive despite losing a step or two over the years, Is Ivory even in the league now?

Yes the 1.5 yards per carry Sunday night were invaluable to the cause, he should be rested a few weeks for the playoffs and then never allowed to run wide...

Nah, I got to say I'm pretty happy with Gore. Love the leadership and even though he has had a rough couple of games it's not all on him. A lot of the times the play call was a run with the D stacking the box.

He will still breakout for a good chunk of yards here and there given the chance.

People are forgetting how he played in Sept and Oct.  I recall him closing out a couple close wins.  And he did what he was supposed to do on the last drive against the Steelers.  Only reason that game got exciting in the last few seconds was because of the holding call.

No, Gore is the man and he will prove it in the playoffs. Needs to rest up against the Jets.

It may appear he has lost a step but its all part of the master plan but I am not fooled

You will be sorry for this post

On the field, maybe.  Off the field no.  He is doing more than people realize as a mentor to Devon.

Personally, I would rest Gore and play Yeldon the rest of the reg. Season.  He him fresh for the playoffs.  It just sounds so cool posting that btw

anyone would be better than Gore

he is pretty much a walking corpse at this point. we can't even afford to sit singletary anymore bc he is now the 2nd most important player on the offense behind Allen.

It's like Rocky and Tommy Gun.

Gore was effective during Devin's absence. These youngsters don't appreciate or understand what experience and leadership brings.

Beane and McD do!

There's no way he could be worse.  Gore was okay to slightly below average for about the first 4-5 weeks of the season.  Since then he's looked like a 50 year old toting the rock.  At this point it almost feels like any carry given to Gore is a forfeited down by the Bills.

I like having Gore to run out the clock with a lead. Despite lackluster performances as of late, he has been very important this season with regard to closing out games.

Gore never got the first down so he never got the job done. Sure he didn’t fumble but we could of kneeled 3 times and had the same results. Either way we are still punting, that holding penalty just gave Pitt more time.

He was playing a high level early, when Singletary went down with injury he really stepped up. Lately though he has not been good at all.
