It seems that the wife served in an agency type of set up. The difficulty is that she pocketed 30K on a 60k ad buy. Normal agency discount runs +/- 15%, not the 30% she took. That's wrong. nobody
http://www.benningtonbanner.com/Stories/0,...2813819,0.html# wonder if this will get as much press as Delay, as Sanders isn't a Republican but a Democratic leaning Independant. 303750[/snapback] Sanders isn't majority leader so no it will not get as much press. And from the article: Jim Barrett, chairman of the Vermont Republican Party, admitted that the $65,000 earned by Driscoll over four years "almost sounds low." I think Delay paid his family members much more over a shorter time frame. Let me add - I don't care if family members are paid staff members - just don't over-do it. Pay them the same as any other staff member.

Reporters start rooting around the cellar and no telling what they would find. As far as I know employing family in such a manner is not illegal. I do know that the late great James Michael Curley, who ran and often successfully( once FROM his jail cell!) for every city, state(Ma) and federal office imaginable, did so in the days when political contributions were legally made to the candidate who could use them as he/she wished. The novel "The Last Hurrah" by Edwin O'Connor I think, is pure fiction because it is in the fiction section of the library but bears stunning resemblance to {Curley's} final campaign. Parenthetically "All The Kings Men" {Robert Penn Warren} is also a work of political fiction that somehow reminds us of Huey Long.
Wacka
How about Harry Reid, the House minority leader? Reid's sons do well.
