You just won't stop (and many here brainwashed just as you are).  300 yards is not a terrible thing to aspire to (or really that difficult to achieve).

Actually the Bills are similar to Seattle (another of my favorite teams) who while playing a much tougher schedule have won a # of games by the skin of their teeth & Carroll too at times have been way too conservative (even with Wilson at QB).  Vs Carolina Sunday was a perfect example, as they did whatever they wanted to early & then went into a shell.  My concern with them too is that it is not sustainable & being conservative doesn't do it in the long run.

Actually pretty sad that it is only twice in 20 years.....  My concern is that they have put all their eggs in one basket and frankly I have higher expectations from this offense, but have no idea as to their potential because of how they are coached & the conservative nature.

Your takes represent everything wrong with current fandom.  Be ashamed...be very ashamed.

Not sustainable.....give it a rest....

Do you thing McD/Beane are sitting around saying ..."Yup...we are where we want to be...got all the guys we need...we are set with a pair of 5'8" receivers and stone handed TE's" and a patchwork O-line"

When Bellicheck gets to the playoffs with a patchwork of O and a good D ....he is a genius....when McD does it "ITS NOT SUSTAINABLE"

We all thank you for noting that this team is a work in progress

Great let's hear more about "The Process"......

I do not like the handling of the offense & there are way too many examples of them letting teams back into games or it being closer then it should.

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid

I can be a fan & have issues with the coaching & play calling.

BTW as excited as I am that they are in the playoffs, they still have a ways to go.

They've had all year to address it through trades, getting Williams in there and other options.  However as per my take McD isn't going to help the O, as it is all about the Defense.

Not sure how this one devolved into 300 yard games, but ? take: Allen will have his first 300 yard game in a round 1 playoff win a few weeks from now.

years back I kept hounding for numerous Bills QB's (EJ, Orton and TT) to have a few meaningful 300 yards passing games and not those like Tyrod had against Miami  to play catch up and or in what some call garbage time yards.

Funny how things stick.

Is it garbage time when you take the lead with 1:20 to go in the 4th quarter?

Are you always this happy when your team makes the playoffs for the 2nd time in 20 years...with 2 games to go...with the Division still technically in play?  I honestly don't get how some people can get so hung up on irrelevant details and simply cannot enjoy the ride.

I think it’s great that the Bills made the Playoffs. It’s an accomplishment, one I thought was readily available, when I picked them to be 10-6, having reviewed the schedule.

And actually beating the Division 3 Teams is still an accomplishment. It’s one that you immediately mentioned, as virtually all the other brutal stiff Bills’ teams this Millennium- couldn’t!

But getting in TWICE in a generation? That’s humiliatingly bad. 12/32 (38%) do so every year! Even the blind squirrels get lucky more than that. Getting IN to the Playoffs should be the most modest of Bills’ Goals!

Winning the AFC-E should really be the minimum, because as we all know, very, very, few WCs win the SB! And that is remote now, having lost to either the Eagles at Home or the crap Clowns Away.

I think we have a QB now, with a D. At least one Smurf Receiver needs to be replaced by a 6-4 + TE or WR next year.

We have a proper HC now- not a buffoon. I hope he is tailoring his Offensive decision making to the talent next year.

We have a proper GM now and not a septuagenarian clown that the owner is familiar with- only because he is even older! He has 9 Draft Picks + $90 Mill in FA cap $ to complete the job. Let him complete the job with further wise picks in 2020!

On Saturday, I hope the Bills harass Brady on EVERY play and be the cause that he finally retires from the NFL due to the pounding he takes- regardless of winning, which I don’t expect the Bills to do.

I do expect them to beat the AFC-S in the WC Round. To lose, would be very disappointing. And then, it’s on to the likely SB Champions. Don’t give an inch there and the 2019 road will be truly enjoyed!

Too many here expect mediocrity.

I think the offense is much better then they are being coached & should not be struggling to score 20 pts/gm.

I guess then it comes down to which agenda I want to pursue!!

How many points were they down at the half or end of 3?

Seriously though ...  If the other team plays prevent D int he 4th,  then I'd categorize that as garbage time stats.

They were down 14 points at 3 different times in the game. I forget exactly when.

I mean that's great and all, but King admitted in the preseason that he's not interested in covering the Bills anymore because they lack relevance as an organization (it was in one of his PFT columns in August), and he has barely mentioned them all season.  Now, on the heels of the most exciting moment the franchise and its fans have had in 20 years, his feature story is a sit-down with Mike McCarthy.

I used to like Peter King.  I really miss Dr. Z.  Albert Breer is the best read out there right now.

I dig the GMFB crew on NFLN.  They really seem to try to give every story/team/player the attention they deserve.  They have talked about Buffalo all season long.

Here's the last 300 yd game & yes the Bills took the lead with 1:20.....  BTW TT needed OT to reach 300....

Down 14 in the second & third quarters......

But remember those not worried about 300 yard games seem to think the Bills are 46-0 the past three regular seasons, so no need to ever throw......?

I think his feature on McCarthy has something to do with the Packers being on Sunday Night Football this week.  Also, there’s this tidbit in that feature:

And they’ve found how the smart offensive teams—the Rams, the Niners, even the Bills—are using varieties of motion speeds, and different snap-points, and frustrating defenses.“

It is twice in 20 years...but it is also TWICE IN THREE YEARS.  Under the same regime.  We know, the players know, the coaching staff knows, the GM knows that this team is not a finished product but it undeniable that we are trending up.

The missing point in all this talk of 300 yd passing games is where this team is talentwise... currently.  Lots of really geat QBs took a couple years to consistently put up big yardage games.  Prior to that... they were "game managers" with the ability to lead their team and make big time throws when needed.   That is exactly where Josh is right now.  Add in the fact that ALL of his WRs ,TEs and RBs were signed last offseadson, while completely overhauling the OLine; and you have a young offense that's still a couple years from being consistently able to put up big numbers.

I think people get too hung up on stats and numbers thanks to fantasy football.  There used to be a time when you focused on the team and what each individual did each week to help the team win.  Too many people now want to look at the top 10 yardage/touch down/sack leaders and define them as good.   The Bills (similar to the cheaters mold) don't have a lot of stat leaders, but they have a solid team with each player doing their part in the game plan.

For those still concerned, give the offense and Josh a little time.  Beane himself even said they have a long way to go.  Let's enjoy the ride as we hopefully keep moving forward.

True but 47 games without 300 yards is a complete embarassment.

Almost as embarrassing as not knowing how to use spell check or judging by number of yards thrown.

We get it...... Embarrassing nonetheless regardless of what you say.....

"Embarrassed" is a reaction one chooses to adopt. Some people, caught by surprise in the nude get embarrassed.  Others dance around and enjoy it.

Choosing to feel embarrassed by someone elses performance ( or in this case, simply their stats) seems a bit weak to me.  My advice? Toughen up!

Fine the Bills are an outlier.  The fact the next closest team is some 30-34 games less........  (i.e. every team has done it in 2019 & 2018 & 2017 except Buffalo).

This 100% lies at the feet of coaching and the refusal to get better offensive weapons.
