BmarvB Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 (edited) I was right about Jay Gruden being the first to face the axe. The Riverboat Ron sinking came as a surprise, I thought they'd can him at the end of the season.. Next heads to be chopped should be: Dan Quinn in Atlanta Freddy Kitchens in Cleveland should be one and done Doug Marrone's time is up in Jacksonville If Jason Garrett isn't done in big D, Jerry's credibility goes down the toilet. Anybody else? Edited December 12, 2019 by BmarvB 2
White Linen Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 You may disagree about Rivera but it was no surprise. It was widely known the new owner wasn't happy. 1
thenorthremembers Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Shurmur and Gettleman could both be out in NYG. 3

Jerry's credibility is halfway to the sewage treatment facility already. A new coach isn't going to change that. But I think you're right about Garrett being fired at the end of the year. Saving that dead money payout.

Thanks - I didn't realize his contract was up. Given that, the fact that he hasn't been extended by now pretty much says it all.
H2o Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Shurmur Garrett Probably Kitchens Possibly Taylor Maybe Gase if they lose out(though I hope not) 1 1
Like A Mofo Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Bill O'Brien, Houston: Unless he wins 2 playoff games or more. Might not be fair but i can see this one: Anthony Lynn Chargers:

TheFunPolice Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 Doug Pederson could be in trouble depending on how Philly does... lots of weird stories there

GunnerBill Posted December 12, 2019 Posted December 12, 2019 The thing with the Chargers is that if they are moving on from Rivers they might fancy a total reset. That makes Lynn more vulnerable. 2

Olliemets Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 Shurmer as good as gone in Jersey. I live down here. Dead man walking
Rc2catch Posted December 13, 2019 Posted December 13, 2019 Be happy to see marrone get the axe. Hated him as a hire here, hated his sour puss during his interviews, hated his coaching most of all, and of course I was happy he left until I seen his replacement so I hated him for leaving, hope the jets hire him to coach their offensive line, and I hope he digs Hackett out of wherever he went after being fired to quarterback coach Darnold. 1

I don't know what particular time frame you think people thought that. However talk of his possible in season firing, days leading up were there. It wasn't terribly surprising when finally announced..
