yeah I think they announced that one of the (potential) two already sold out.  Pretty impressive, considering a home playoff game is faaaaaar from guaranteed at this point.

I thought some of the home playoff games in the '90s (specifically the comeback game) weren't sold out. So why are people acting like this is a dumb question?

the Houston comeback game was a blackout for TV

listened to Van Miller call the game on WBEN

The comeback was not a sellout because out Hall of Fame QB was not playing and it was a rematch against a team that had just smoked us, so not that similar.

that really shouldn't matter. It's a playoff game. I never gave it a thought that I might not go. I did almost leave at halftime, but there was nothing else to do so I stayed.

It was getting played out by the third SB year, and nobody outside Buffalo wanted the Bills to show up at the SB and get steamrollered

Likely only a week to sell remaining tickets. I bet it's close.

The truth is they had trouble selling playoff games after the 2nd AFC championship. Grant you the stadium was 80K capacity then.

The NBA Finals used to be on tape delay too. What happened decades ago is totally irrelevant (as is this thread).

That’s really dumb.
facts is facts.

I already reserved my tickets but considering history - I thought it was somewhat relevant.

The question is how many minutes until the tickets are gone.

I'm fairly certain that the correct question is: How many minutes would it take to sell out a home playoff game?

I say 15 minutes

Tickets were more of a hassle to get back then. You'd either have to go to the stadium and stand in line, stay at home and hope you could get through on the phone to the ticket office, or hope you knew a season ticket holder that could get extras. Couldn't just jump on the interwebs and buy them there.

4 of the last 4...

interesting!

It’s a totally different scenario. There were 50,000 Bills fans at the last playoff game and it was in Jacksonville.

What happened in the 90’s is irrelevant. That’s why i talked about the tape delay for the NBA Finals. It did happen before but will never happen again. There are TONS of reasons that it isn’t worth the conversation. The stadium is smaller, the NFL is way bigger now, the ease of tickets for out-of-towners through the secondary market, a generation of fans that are starved for winning instead of fatigued, etc.... I could keep going with reasons but you get the point. It’s apples and oranges
