Expand The truth is they had trouble selling playoff games after the 2nd AFC championship. Grant you the stadium was 80K capacity then.

You'd either have to go to the stadium and stand in line, stay at home and hope you could get through on the phone to the ticket office, or hope you knew a season ticket holder that could get extras. There were 50,000 Bills fans at the last playoff game and it was in Jacksonville. What happened in the 90’s is irrelevant. That’s why i talked about the tape delay for the NBA Finals. It did happen before but will never happen again. There are TONS of reasons that it isn’t worth the conversation. The stadium is smaller, the NFL is way bigger now, the ease of tickets for out-of-towners through the secondary market, a generation of fans that are starved for winning instead of fatigued, etc.... I could keep going with reasons but you get the point. It’s apples and oranges
