apuszczalowski Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Wow, they were on a roll and hot, must be something big for them to fire him now 1
plenzmd1 Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 new Code of Conduct NHL enacted after the last few weeks of messiness with coaches 1
\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Well, when you live in a world that has hockey moms like this, the "code of conduct" goes out the door pretty quickly:

\GoBillsInDallas/ Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Translation: I heard from my source that Jim Montogery's firing in Dallas was related to alcohol use and subsequent misconduct.

Trust me, anything less than sexual assault or murder before the code of conduct this would be swept under the rug if they wanted it to be,
row_33 Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 the real story can't be contained for long not in this age of social media....

Look what happened with one of the top front office people with the Astros who treated a female press person in a condescending manner? He was quickly dispatched. I'm aware that it is unfair to speculate but I will offer a guess. It probably has to do with how a woman was treated. I suspect that it is because they are trying to keep this issue private out of respect for someone else.

It wasn't that quickly, the Astros tried to deny it happening and even said the woman made it up, then recordings came out and he was fired then...... 1
ExiledInIllinois Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 How quickly the NHL turned... Remember Denis Savard coaching in Chicago... Out the door for Boozer Q and years of wife swapping and Stanley Cup championships! LoL...
Nextmanup Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 This is an interesting situation. It sounds like this doesn't have anything to do with player abuse. Dallas has stated no current or former Star player was involved. And yet this is definitely related to the "New NHL" trying to keep a squeaky clean image. Sounds like some previous "bad act" was reported to/discovered by the team and they decided they couldn't let it slide in the current environment. As to what it specifically was, who knows. The Finnish tweet reference above about alcohol and perhaps some related crime or at least questionable conduct makes as much sense as anything.
row_33 Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 the only thing sustaining my barely 1% interest is the facts and that has another day or so before i couldn't care less about it
apuszczalowski Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 So there's rumors of Alcohol but not physical assault or racial/sexual comments being involved, but it was unprofessional conduct. I bet he was drunk one night and told the team that Brett's foot was actually in the crease.......... 3
