buffalosean Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Just watched the highlights of the Arizona game. I think our defense will have a very good day. Josh needs to be crisp and run when he has too. Steelers return team looked good on that TD. They are going to come out aggressive. This is going to be a great game to watch!! Cannot wait. Tesla03 Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 (edited) our defense has had "good days" almost every week. but if our offense plays like they did vs the Ravens we aren't beating that Pittsburg team. Steelers defense is much more disciplined and can defend the run. Tomlin also never loses at home on primetime. it is going to be a much tougher matchup than fans think. Dabboll needs to wake up bc his job is on the line in these next 3 weeks, and Josh needs to improve Edited December 9, 2019 by Tesla03 1

Allen isn’t going anywhere any time soon. And how quickly people forget the past three games before the Ravens game. Smh. 1 1

It's a huge game, and he laid an egg last week. He's not going anywhere, but if we're going to make the playoffs and compete, he needs to get better. Just like Daboll. 1

The past three games before the Ravens game were against teams whose defense wasn't very good. So far against the teams with good defenses he hasn't looked that great in them.

Bottom line is Allen will never get the benefit of the doubt from some of you because you already had your minds made up the second they called his name on draft night. 8 1

Dabboll needs to wake up bc his job is on the line in these next 3 weeks, and Josh needs to improve Couple of big differences. Since Marcus Peters that defense for Baltimore has been lights out. They can in blitzing 48% of the time cause they have 3 number 1 corner backs. They allowed 13 ppg. Secondly, the offensive game plan had to be more aggressive to counter Baltimore’s offense. We don’t need to do that, they can be more conservative and focus on the run/play action more. I expect a similar offensive effort to when we played Tennessee. That will be good enough

White Linen Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 I'm nervous because I think Daboll again is at a disadvantage from a coaching acumen perspective. We will be facing a very well coached team. I think as in most of our games, our defense will perform and expose inexperience.
Nick the Greek Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 (edited) The Steelers are down to their 3rd string UDFA QB. if we are for real, we have to take care of business on Sunday. Edited December 10, 2019 by Nick the Greek

Formerly Allan in MD Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 We'll have a good day if we put pressure on a rookie free agent quarterback and don't act like he's a major threat.
Dkollidas Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 I think it’s such a big game because of the stigma of going to New England the week after. If we lose to Pittsburgh, many of us fans will write us off against New England in New England... That would leave us to the finale to clinch the playoff spot. This Sunday is a huge game. 1) Win and in Playoff Spot Clinched 2) Don’t lose two in a row 3) Offense needs to rebound after being shut down 4) Josh continue to show he’s special under the bright lights of national TV
