I dont understand why fans try to force a nickname every time a player starts playing well.

I'm in favor of letting people's nicknames find them in the fullness of time, instead of seeking one for them.

He mentioned a nickname he had at Wyoming and I thought he was telling the truth, but not the whole truth, about why he had it.

But I won't say anything more about why I think that and what I think it means ?

I like the Firebaugh HS baseball nickname, Tortuga!   Through steady, unrelenting personal growth this tortuga is beating all the hares in the race.  He needed to leave that school to help raise his recruiting profile but he chose to bloom where he was planted.  It fits his story.

A few good games strewn together does not make for a nickname.

If he throws 3 picks on Sunday, 90% of this board will be calling for his head.

Let’s settle down, and the kid himself says, let’s try to go 1-0 this week.

This is also true, but let the fans get a little excited. We deserve it.

Never heard of it.

I'm fine with calling him Josh or Josh Allen -- but this was discussed in bills mafia on facebook and "Air Allen" seemed like a lot of people like that one.

I still like the wordplay with Firebaugh though, like "The Firebaugh Fireball"

Why don't we just call him "The Touchdown Kid"? lol

And apparently, he's nickname is already "Hollywood".

Hollywood is terrible, definitely needs anything else.

If he can get the deep ball going consistently we can call him "The Cannon"

already the cannon, dont need accuracy for that. Maybe the Missile, which are guided by GPS.

"Tortuga" would be OK.  It would chant well. ?  Not speaking for what you want to see though

What is the meaning of this?

The Niagara Viagra 'cause he makes defense so hard.

No. That's not it. Hmm. University of Wyoming. The Cowboys. But he's like a new generation, like a Space age cowboy. The Space Cowboy.

That might work for some of you. Some of us will call him a different name. Something like Marco or Mustapha. Maybe Morris. Morris is close.
