njbuff Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 This crap is STILL going on? How much of our tax money is being wasted on this farce?
Hedge Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 HA! Schitt is now bringing up Russia hacking Burisma. Oh, and the Russians hacking the DNC. "The Russians are at it again". 2

Hedge Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 I didn't pay attention to what #9 was, but it died, 53-47 #10 was to allow for 24 hours, instead of 2 to file responses to motions. It died 52-48. I'm not sure which R broke ranks. They are wrapping up with 1 more tonight. 2

Because dragging this out for weeks (months?) rather than a week or 2 really shafts them.

Hedge Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 #11 also dies 53-47. It was to allow Chief Justice Roberts to decide on allowing motions to subpoena documents/witnesses. And the night wraps with a vote 53-47 in favor of *approving* McConnell's rules. 1 minute ago, Buffalo_Gal said: Bet you could have got it with just one guess: I wasn't sure which of Romney, Collins, or Murkowski it would be, but they were the prime suspects 5

Tiberius Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Is there really even a defense being put forth for what Trump did? All I hear is complaining, not fair this, witch hunt that, but no facts, serious arguments or anything. Even if Biden was signing checks to his son--or whatever the brown tongues are saying--that would in no way justify Trump withholding aid Congress had appropriated. No defense

Tiberius Posted January 22, 2020 Posted January 22, 2020 Denying witnesses and evidence violates Due Process. The Senate Republicans are against basic Due Process rights. Our republic, being undermined from within. Putin must be so happy.
