ChevyVanMiller Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Who are these two men and what iconic characters are they working on here? Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted December 16, 2020 Posted December 16, 2020 Mel Blanc on left. As all his WB work was virtually solo, I will guess Alan Reid on the right, voice of Fred Flintstone. Blanc is doing Barney Rubble. Only thing I think I know for certain is Blanc on the left. 1 Quote

You nailed it. I thought that one would last a bit longer. Well done. 1 Quote

Blanc was recognizable as he was often on both the radio and television versions of 'The Jack Benny Program'. Amazing how many voices from Benny's radio program carried over to voices on the Flintones: Bea Benaderet, Verna Felton, Frank Nelson ("eee-YEEEEESSS"). Quite honestly, I think that's one of the few pictures I have ever seen of Reed. 2 Quote

dhg Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 You mean to tell me he didn't always have the mustache? Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Just now, I am the egg man said: Yes, must be a big fan to get it in near record breaking time. Not a big fan. Something about from the nose up just reminded me of Selleck. That and the fact I took a black broad tip Sharpie, and gave the image a moustache. * What takes Sharpie off a phone screen? Do I need a new thread? Quote
Wacka Posted December 17, 2020 Posted December 17, 2020 Without seeing the answer, I thought it was Mascara Boy, Shepard Smith. He had that same expression when he was crying on the bridge after hurricane Katrina. Quote
