J. R. R. Tolkien?

That would be him. This harry potter stuff out nowadays is baby food compared to the meat and potato's Tolkien delivered. What a great mind, I used to get lost for hours in his books.

The Hobbit was required reading in my english class in the mid 70's... my teacher, Martin Schank was cool as *****. Of course that led to the LOTR and others of Tolkien. Never really could get into any other fantasy books ever since, when you have read the best there aren't any corners to turn.
