Expand 1. Yes. 2. The 60s television version of 'Batman' is campy schlock. Not sci-fi. Then again, some of the 60s sci-fi isn't on par with concurrent examples of the genre. Born Jonathan Daniel Charasuchin in New York City in 1914. His Wikipedia article is very interesting. The phrase "oh, the pain!" apparently began with his character Mr. Phillips on 'The Bill Dana Show', which was before 'Lost in Space'.
