Was he in a '60's sci-fi TV series?

For the record, Batman isn't sci-fi, or is it?

1.  Yes.

2.  The 60s television version of 'Batman' is campy schlock.  Not sci-fi. Then again, some of the 60s sci-fi isn't on par with concurrent examples of the genre.  That should provide a large clue.

Oh the pain! Jonathan Harris, Dr Smith from Lost in Space?

Correct.  Born Jonathan Daniel Charasuchin in New York City in 1914. His Wikipedia article is very interesting.

The phrase "oh, the pain!" apparently began with his character Mr. Phillips on 'The Bill Dana Show', which was before 'Lost in Space'.  Many of Dr. Smith's mannerisms were also originated in the Phillips character.

Soab... I had typed in "the dude from Lost in Space" but deleted it because I didn't know his real name.

I looked up Dr. Smith but couldn't find that image of him.

Cheap Kindle, but considering I do little more than read, shop and engage in this website, the only one I do, it's decent.

Good one R.C.
