Correct. That pic was from 66 on a guitar he didn't play much afterwards. 

Nothing but top notch musicians in this Orchestra. Also did work with Santana and others.

Truly awesome, and a beautiful example of using a violin in rock/fusion. Jerry Goodman had already done very well in the short-lived "The Flock".

The Flock never interested me, there was never anything that really stuck out imo. Still, I would put him up there with Papa John, JLP, Edwin Jobson, and the dude from ELO as far as rock/jazz violinists go. There was one chick though that tore up out of the blue, can't remember her name.

 

Edit: bad on me, I left out Don "sugarcane" Harris... that dude could tear a violin in half and make it still sound good.
