Protocal69 Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 QB School breakdowns Lamar Jackson vs the Pats . It just made my head hurt. Regarding the Jumbotrons you will see what I am talking about in the video
StHustle Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 Or set it for a 2 second delay and really **** em up! 2

Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 I picture 23 players lying on the turf because they’re all trying to simultaneously run and watch the jumbotron, to see where the ball carrier is going. ? 1

I know stopping Lamar is hard, but I didn’t realize they were letting us get extra guys to do it.... 1 1
r00tabaga Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 (edited) To paraphrase ...their linemen, the Center in the example, looks up at scoreboard to see where Lamar is on the Jumbotron. They are probably taught this and it’s smart. For scrambling QBs especially! edit: I like the train horn! Edited December 3, 2019 by r00tabaga 1

Oops! I guess I will stay out of arguments regarding statistical physics, considering I have a hard time counting players on a football field.
Cheesus Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 I would like to see the the edge DE/LB always stay on Lamar on option plays and hit him when it's close even on a handoff. Don't even worry about the running back.

Just Jack Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 This has been done for years. I remember reading how RB/WR when heading for the endzone would look up and see if there was anyone trying to run them down, and if there was, they'd change their route.
IgotBILLStopay Posted December 3, 2019 Posted December 3, 2019 The Jumbotron play actually appears to hurt Lamar Jackson rather than help. He coulda easily juked the defensive lineman one-on-one - but instead the Olineman (who looked at the jumbotron) clogs the lane and stops Lamar from getting a TD since the help arrives when he slows Lamar down.
