Big Turk Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Not much of a surprise to those who watched him but noteworthy nonetheless. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001081870/article/nfls-alltime-team-lawrence-taylor-headlines-defensive-front
JMF2006 Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 All Time sack leader and possibly the greatest Bill ever
Dirtyd415 Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 (edited) Does anyone know who votes for the all time 100 team? I ask because both Bruce Smith and Reggie white were not unanimous, which is insane to me. I also don’t understand the crazy amount of love and knob polishing for LT. Was he extremely talented? Yes. What I don’t understand is how people don’t confront him about his admitted pre/in game drug use. You have to discount his numbers or at the very least add an disclaimer. Of corse Belichick thinks he’s the best defensive player ever, he cheated to gain an unfair advantage and never got caught/punished. Bruce has more tackles and of corse sacks. Just NYC players getting all the fawning and adoration while The greatest Bill of all time gets a blip. Dumb Edited November 30, 2019 by Dirtyd415

RaoulDuke79 Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 (edited) There's Bruce Smith, Reggie White and everyone else. Edited December 1, 2019 by RaoulDuke79 2
BearNorth Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Interesting, know his career was cut short by Injury but Tom Sestak was picked as first team on the All Time AFL team ahead of Buck Buchanan 1
Blank Stare Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Kind of annoying they only spent about 5 seconds on him during the show. Spent a bunch of time gushing over Reggie and John Randle. I’m sure it had a little to do with fitting everyone in, and probably a tenuous relationship with LT (him being on set and their history). But, come on...could’ve spent more than 5 seconds on the NFL’s all time sack leader. I feel like Bruce gets disrespected a lot. Unfortunate part about playing the same time as Reggie. People always say Reggie was better, and while I don’t know one way or the other because it’s difficult to compare the two, Bruce deserves more respect. I don’t think he gets enough credit for accomplishing what he did in a FAR more difficult scheme to accumulate the numbers he did. He’s better than Reggie to me, but he’s my favorite player of all time so I’m bigly biased. 1
Just Joshin' Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 He was a lock. Thurman did not make the cut - thought he might be close but to no avail.
StHustle Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 The thread title makes it sound as if they are naming 100 defensive linemen to the list. Most know what you mean but IJS. He has actually been named top 7 DE of all time which more accurately describes the accomplishment.
Bookie Man Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Uh yeah. He probably would be in the lineup of an all-time defense.
TigerJ Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 I would guess that he is considered in the top five all time defensive lineman.
machine gun kelly Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 I’ve always thought he and Reggie White are the best of all time.
Ethan in Cleveland Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 Belichick had Lawrence Taylor and Tom Brady. Two of the top three players to ever play in the NFL. Incredible.
BUFFALOKIE Posted November 30, 2019 Posted November 30, 2019 No offense intended, but.. .No ***** Sherlock.
