formerlyofCtown Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 At the draft I would have. After last season, no way. I think a harder decision for some would be a swap of Josh Allen for Lamar Jackson. My answer would be no.
Marv's Neighbor Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 They're both good but Josh happens to play for a better team.

John from Riverside Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 I will take it one step further....I wouldnt trade Josh Allen for Lamar Jackson either Yes...I liked LJ before the draft and woudnt have been upset at all if we would have taken him at the time Yes...LJ is playing better then Josh Allen right now But here is the thing....we are in year TWO of the Josh Allen era......and I still feel that we have barely scratched the surface of his potential.....when he puts the deep ball together with what he is doing in the short intermediate (and I think he will) Josh Allen is going to be SCARY good........

Ethan in Cleveland Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 No way. Josh was the QB I wanted most, followed by Rosen, Darnold, Jackson, and then Mayfield. Mayfield has played better than I thought he would. Looks like Rosen is a bust but with the two organizations he is on who knows. He may still be a good QB that needs a Teddy Bridgwater like experience.
HOUSE Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 Baker is contaminated like all Cleveland players
OldTimeAFLGuy Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 ...you just CAN'T make threads like this up.....EXCEPT....from Irv......quite the gemologist....

Aireskoi Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 (edited) I waited until the 2018 draft was almost here before I decided. I heard Phil Simms talk about Josh on Sirius, and from that day he's the only one I wanted. He was confident Josh was the right fit for us, it just made sense hearing it from a QB that played in the windy cold NE. Nothing has changed at any point for me, I felt like I had the cheat sheet for the test with him. None of this surprises me about Allen except what a great leader he is already and just how tough he is. Edited November 29, 2019 by Aireskoi
Scott7975 Posted November 29, 2019 Posted November 29, 2019 Not a chance and I would have said this last year too. There is no better person to QB this team. Josh Allen is going to not only be a star but is there another QB that is more perfect for our community? I don’t think so.
