It sound crazy, but with a win over the Ravens next weekend, and with a Pats having to go to Houston and play a Chiefs team in need of a win, the Bills could win the AFC #1 seed at 13-3.  Go Bills.

If the bills win out, there is something like a 42% chance of them being the 1 seed. It all hinges on how well the Pats do

One game at a time and One Month at  time....

3-1 in 1st Quarter

6-2 in 2nd Quarter

9-3 in 3rd  Quarter

Consistent football....can we say 12-4 ?

I feel like a while ago, perhaps a long time ago, the Bills had the #1 seed with a 13-3 record.   I recall good things that year.  This year, lets win the last one also!

we do we lose to?  I think the Ravens are the toughest team left.  But we have them at home with the 12th man :)

Not thinking about that nonsense yet.  Just find a way to beat Baltimore

The #1 seed in the AFC is not nonsense when you have Baltimore at home and the Patriots looks VERY beatable.

I am going to defer to Coach McDermott and say. "1 game at a time".

FOR DIVISION

Bills win out and one of the following need to ioccur

1. New England lose to miami tiebreaker  division record

2. New England loses 2 other games...better record 13-3 to 12-4

3 NE lose to Cincinnati...tiebreaker conference record

if NE splits HOU and KC then buffalo beats thrm, NE still has better common games record if they are tied at  12-3 going into week 17

Not likely but possible. Whether it's for the division championship or not the Bills have a good chance of beating the Pats when they next meet. Not taking anything away from the Pats D but Allen had a horrendous game the last time and the Bills otherwise clearly outplayed them. NE won't be facing the same QB or O the next time and I think the Bills have a real shot at shutting Brady down. It's a pretty even matchup IMO even playing in Foxborough. Plus the Bills are the team on the rise. Tom not so much.

Nobody will want to see this team in the playoffs at their place even if they do not get any games at home.  Bills Mafia will be there loud and strong.

One loss on the road due to a couple of missed FG"s, this team is getting better each week.

does conference record matter if the two teams are tied?

IF (big if) the bills win out and the pats lose to either the Texans or Chiefs and the Bills, the Pats would have three conference losses and the Bills would only have 2.

EDIT: just checked, it’s the 4th tiebreaker so you’re right, we’d need the pats to lose three more and the bills to win out. Tall task indeed.

They dont need to lose 3 more..they lose to us and to Cincinnati or Miami.   But odds are better that they lose to hou and kc.

both hou and kc have incentives with battling for byes and seeding

if kc and hou win out they will be 12-4, if  buffalo beats NE as well, but doesn’t win the division, there coukd be a bunch of teams at 12-4 and NE loses 1 seed.

How awesome is it that we are talking about backing into a division winner instead of talking about how we need to win out the last 6 games and have 3 different teams lose specific games?
