ganesh Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 White won't be paid next year. They will simply pick up his 5th year option. They first have to pay Poyer, Phillips and Dawkins at first level and Lawson at 2nd level. 1

Giving him a well earned extension and bypassing the 5th year option is likely in the best interest for everyone. 9

Pay him now before the next man up sets the market. Plus, I am waffling between a Singletary jersey or a White jersey for my daughter for Christmas. Would be nice to know which player is here long term. 1 1
Inigo Montoya Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 At some point this franchise is going to have to bite the bullet and pay market value for a great CB. We can't continue to let them walk in Free Agency. I'm good with getting a deal done a year early and keeping White here. I don't want to play against Gilmore and Tre' White in Foxboro some day. 5
MDH Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I’m in favor of paying him early. Re-sign him before Ramsey resets the market for FA CBs. 5
HappyDays Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 I could see us doing something crazy like 5 years for $80 million. He's the 1st player drafted by this regime and he's a top 3 CB in the NFL. Lock him up through his 20s. 1
wvbillsfan Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Whatever the highest paid corner contract is when he gets to his contract year he’s gonna break it. 2 1 1
Best Player Available Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 16M may be deal in 2021. Would like them to lock him down before his 5th year option. Guaranteed money is where it's at. Get him on a 6'year contract and make him happy. 2

Kelly the Dog Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Pay him middle range of top DBs but also pay him top range of goalie coaches, so it gets him his money but lessens our cap. 4 1 1
PetermansRedemption Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 Pay that man his money. If it takes 16 million you do it. Excellent player and a great team guy. Doesn’t seem to have an ego in sight either. 2
BuffaloBillies Posted November 25, 2019 Posted November 25, 2019 8 years, $100,000,000. SICK money with a really good ring to it. He can't say no, and it's probably a deal in the long run for the bills. Sign right now and it's yours.

Pretty sure the CB thing was the business model of the old regime, even going back pre Whaley. They preferred to spend money elsewhere and simply draft a CB high every four years. I don’t think that’s the MO of the current group, but we’ll find out.

And he's played at a consistently high level. He'll get his money. 1
