Big Turk Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 Watching the Georgia/Texas A&M defensive struggle...see the A&M RB is named Spiller and also wears #28...any relation to CJ? Quote
YoloinOhio Posted November 23, 2019 Posted November 23, 2019 Don’t think so. He originally committed to Oklahoma and flipped to A&M. Big time recruit Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted November 24, 2019 Posted November 24, 2019 I thought CJ’s last name was ‘Spill ‘em’...as in footballs. ? Quote

Little late in the response, I was wondering the same thing watching this game. Isaiah Spiller's father Fred was a tight end at A&M who had quit football because of back issues. No relation to CJ, at least none that I could find. Quote
Mike Feliz Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 He is the Son of Ex Aggie TE Fred Spiller playiled I late 90's Not CJ Quote
Milanos Milano Posted October 21, 2020 Posted October 21, 2020 Well I may just keep my Spiller Jersey just in case! Quote
Ridgewaycynic2013 Posted October 31, 2020 Posted October 31, 2020 I always thought one of the 'knocks' on Spiller was he was a Civil War runner. Too much effort between north and south. Quote

Big time recruit As others have said, Fred Spiller is his Dad. Isaiah is a big Adrian Peterson fan, and that's why he wears #28. He flipped to A&M after Jimbo Fisher's hire. Jimbo runs the ball, Kevin Sumlin not so much. Isaiah has great size, and moves very well. Great kid too. Lots of NFL potential. Quote
