Nextmanup Posted November 22, 2019 Posted November 22, 2019 My experience with Nerf footballs: eventually the paint would dry, crack, and chip off the ball. That exposed the inner foam rubber which would deteriorate with time and exposure to moisture. "Waterlogging" it in the swimming pool didn't help. In turn, the exposed foam rubber would "chunk" and look like bites were taken out of it. Around that time the ball wouldn't really throw very well and it was time for a new one.
