"Sheep Week"??  You gotta give it a listen, it's very matter-of-fact.  Lombardi can't understand what he's saying at first. Cheap week?  Sheet week?
Then it's "Oh.  God, that's COLD, Bro!"

Two things are forever: Diamonds and college football rivalries.

During a conference call Wednesday, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen talked briefly about this Friday’s Wyoming-Colorado State college football game: “Oh yeah, it’s ‘Sheep Week.'”  When asked to clarify what he meant, the former Cowboys star said, “They’re the ‘Sheep.’ They’re not the Rams, they’re the ‘Sheep.'”

Allen played with Wyoming from 2015-17, earning wins over the Rams in both of his starts against them.

“It does and always will (stink) to be a CSU Ram,” Allen said. “(I) never lost to them. I won in the old stadium that they had and I was on that team that beat them the last time ever there. I left, hopefully, a sour taste in their mouth forever in that stadium, so I’m very proud to be a Wyoming Cowboy.”

Amusing clap-back in the comments:

" There's three lies a Wyo Cowboy will always tell you.

  1. My new truck is paid for.
  2. I won this here big belt buckle in the rodeo.
  3. And yes, I was just helping that sheep over the fence.

"

oooooh.

I’m struggling with this.  Love the Bills and JA but I’m a CSU alum so I’m biased I guess.  Wish he would keep his mouth shut about stuff like this that really does not concern him anymore or at least tone it down.  He is Showing some immaturity.  “Always stinks to be a CSU Ram”.  Really?

He was asked specifically about Wyoming vs. CSU this week what exactly do you think he should of said?

I mean I'm a Wyoming fan so obviously I agree with everything he said, but come on NFL players mention stuff about their college team all the time, especially the ones that are new enough to the NFL to still have former teammates still playing at their old school.

You definitely don't forget college rivalries ever, let alone after 1.5 years

120+ D1 schools didn't offer him including CSU and to Wyoming he's eternally grateful

It's passion

This is only his 2nd year in the league.  He undoubtedly still has friends on the team, not to mention friends cheering at the game.

Josh has one of the most restrained, best-behaved personalities I've ever seen from a young QB.  Loss?  He needs to do a better job.  Win?  The team played great.  Daboll called a great game.  Next opponent?  They're a very strong team, their defense is great, we've got our work cut out for us.  AFC Player of the Week? Team award, credit the other 10 guys.   If it wasn't for occasional quips about "One New York Team", crediting Daboll's mustaches or little pokes at the press "did that count as a long pass to you guys?" and occasional places where he's speaking from the heart about how much the guys on the team love each other, you'd think he's totally canned and his pressers would be a snooze.

Why shouldn't he cut loose and talk a little trash about a college rivalry he's still close to, that doesn't impact most of the players in the league?   It gave us a bit of a glimpse into the inner Josh, the guy who shows up on Sunday and I'm pretty sure runs his mouth a bit. [Morse probably:  "Shut up, Josh!  I have to block this guy.  Don't piss him off!"].   I mean, what do you think he says on the field when he's tackled after a TD, "jolly good play, what? Better luck next time Old Chap"?

As long as the rivalry doesn't distract him from preparing for the Broncos.

I have 2 kids attending CSU and not exactly a fan of JA as a player.  Yet, I have ZERO problem with this, I love it.  It’s what makes college football so great.  Passion and tradition is real and stays with you your whole life.  That said, I am hoping for Rams win.

BTW, Cam not a sheep and has the biggest sack in the WAC.

As a CSU Alum, I honestly have no problem hearing Josh talk smack against us.  It's all part of the deal.

That said, how about we talk about what a ****hole  Laramie WY is, compared to Fort Collins.
