Phil The Thrill Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 A journalist in Denver put this tweet out the other day asking fans whether they would still draft Bradley Chubb over Josh Allen in the 2018 draft. As you can imagine this trigger a lot of responses. For the most part it was mixed but overall a lot of fans actually said that they would take Josh Allen over Bradley Chubb. Of course, you get the usually Twitter crowd trying to quantify why he Allen isn’t good. Overall a lot of them seem to be down on Chubb and are concerned about the QB position. One fan called Chubb “an OLB with a bum knee” ? Id say it’s about 60-40 Allen over Chubb based on those responses 1
teef Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 didn't zerovolt bring this up a while ago? he claimed he went to their message board and brought up the same question, (which is strange) and was laughed at.
zow2 Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 It's always a popular mid-week topic to bring up in many NFL cities.. "would you rather have xxxxx, or the good young QB your team passed on?"

Ha! I didn’t hear about this. It’s funny how so many want Allen now. 1
atlbillsfan1975 Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 (edited) Chubb is injures on your team that is 3-7 and your quarterback situation is less than ideal. You are now playing the team that is 7-3 with the quarterback you could if picked. Probably only natural for some Denver fans to wish they had picked Allen to go with their defense. Elway has been better at finding defensive talent than he has quarterbacks. I do think Chubb is a good player and should have a great career ahead of him. Edited November 20, 2019 by atlbillsfan1975
JoshAllenHasBigHands Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 I understand the differing opinions. But someone over there is suggesting that Lock's floor is what Allen is playing at now, and that Locke is likely to be much better than Allen. I don't even know what to do with that comment. 1

Of course it helps when you are picking very high in the draft and players like Von Miller & Bradley Chubb are right there for you to grab. That makes Elway more lucky than savvy. 3
BillsVet Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 The more important question needs to be which GM that franchise would rather have. Elway isn't getting it done and his QB decisions post P. Manning are the lead reason why.
PolishPrince Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 Not as bad as the Jets reddit thread on 2018 draft night laughing at us for picking Allen and saying it was a franchise killing move which would set us back another decade lol

When you can pay Case Keenum 20 Million, you have to pass on Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen, so you can trade for Joe Flacco and draft Drew Lock 1 3

John from Riverside Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 Well....they cant have him 5 1 1
whatdrought Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 I mean, it seems pretty obvious. Promising young QB is always worth more than Promising young pass rusher. Even if Allen is only ever a good not great QB, and Chubb is a HOF, for as long as they don't have a QB, they will be wishing they did. 1

whatdrought Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 lol... They're actually arguing that Chubb was the right pick because defense wins championships... Hows that going for them the past two years?

Jamie Nails Posted November 20, 2019 Posted November 20, 2019 (edited) Who would you rather have: Mahomes or White and the 22nd pick? Who would you rather have: Russell Wilson or TJ Graham? Who would you rather have: Rob Gronkowski or Torrell Troupe? Edited November 20, 2019 by Jamie Nails 1 1
